RAIN AT LAST
Tennessee is known as the Green State, unfortunately the last three years we have gotten less rain each year.
The last two nights it has rained after dark. I looked at the rain gauge on the porch and it is showing one and half inches. WOW & WOW.
When Maggie headed out for the paper I looked around at the wet earth and was thrilled to see that it was wet under the bushes and trees.
It was rather unfortunate that with the rain, came wind and tornadoes. We were spared from each but others over the South and even into Chicago and Michigan were not so fortunate.
I thank all my Guardian Angels(Mother, Dad, Pa, Grandma, Mz Ann, Gran Dot and Lewis) for holding up the huge trees around the hill so they did not fall.
The air has a crisp wet autumn smell. There is really not anything better than watching the world come alive on such a beautiful day.
The Kitty Justice is I am so Thankful to be alive to enjoy this day and hope you are too.

You are more than welcome. You might have to return the favor someday.

Susie,
West Nashville and South Nashville did have trees down in places but we were fortunate. Thanks Prince took that one.

I hear somewhere along the way that it is your birthday, Lady Di! If that be the case, a very Happy Birthday to you. If that not be the case, a very Happy Birthday to you, anyway! :)

Don't you just love the smell the rain causes? I know I do.

Glad you suffered no damage, Lady Di.

Take good care. :)

Gorgeous picture, Di. I heard some places around your parts got 70 mph winds. I'm so glad none of your giant trees on the hill fell. I always worry when I hear of those high winds.

No it is not my birthday. Mine is January 12th or Prince remembers it one dozen.

One of the big maples in the back of the neighbors house lost a big limb but fortunate ours were not damaged.

Beautiful photo of the Smokeys. Thanks for sharing and I'm glad your guardian angels held up the trees in the heavy winds. Also glad there were no tornadoes in your area. Be safe.

The picture is from our back porch which is 925 ft above sea level in Nashville. The Smokeys are in East Tn.

Thanks for visiting.
