THE GREAT PUMPKIN HAS GONE FOR ANOTHER YEAR.

YOU ARE STILL BEING WATCHED FROM THE SKY.

LOOK CLOSE AND YOU WILL SEE THREE ANGELS.

BENNI AND STEVE'S DOGWOOD TREE.
It is hard to believe that this is November. The year is just like life. In January and when you are young , it is long but as you near the end of the year like old age it goes by FASTER AND FASTER.
This is the month we celebrate Thanksgiving. I love the smell of turkey cooking and then the feast afterwards. We usually have dressing, white rice, sweet potatoes and either green beans or green peas along with rolls to enhance our turkey. Then if we are really lucky, Mimi will have made her specialty, Fudge Cake and you can have it with or without vanilla ice cream. Then after the feast we will have great left overs. Prince like most men do not care for left overs but with Thanksgiving left overs he enjoy them.
We always have a few family or lots of family for lunch and it is a time to enjoy one another.
We on the hill are Thankful for so much and one thing we are really Blessed with is wonderful neighbors. Benni and Steve are who you would like to live next door but you cannot have them as they are ours. Each year they decorate the dogwood tree and this year before the weather got bad they got out and worked very hard on the lights.
When they turn the tree on it gives off a very HAPPY & WARM greeting. In the spring when it blooms and they turn on the lights it looks like a lace curtain is on top of the tree.
They are both talented and kind. Who else would take in strays or as we like to call them walk ons. They took in a German shepherd who walked on and she had heart worms . They gave her a good home and had her health problems fixed and then put a wireless fence around so she would have freedom to roam. She is no longer with them but her last days she was treated as a queen just like the black walk on cat.
I refer to the black cat as Mz Kitty and Benni calls her Kitty girl. Mz Kitty may have began life hard but now she is a very pampered cat. If we come back as animals, I want to come back as one of Benni and Steve's pets.
The Kitty Justice is everyone should have neighbors like Steve and Benni.

I wish I had neighbors like that. A few of mine are great, but there are also a few that like to cause trouble. Seems that stirring the pot is their profession since they retired. They even peek in our vehicles. However, I am thankful that they aren't criminals.

Enjoyed your list and thanks so much for stopping by to comment on mine. We have so much to be thankful for.

Blessings,
Mary

These 2 houses on the hill were buildt by brothers. Lewis, my FIL, and his brother Uncle Jack. Uncle Jack's son lived next door but he sold it to a Lawyer who had a wife half his age and 2 hootie sons. Then it was sold to an investor and for over a year it was vacant and during the summer the grass was over knee high with a dumpster full of debris and it collected water from the rain so Mosquitos were abundan. The invester sold the house to Steve and Benni so we had to live through some bad times to be rewarded with the good times and those wonderful neighbors, Steve and Benni.

Susie,
Steve and Benni are wonderful and thanks for visiting.

I am glad you have great neighbors also and it is a comfort to look out for one another. Those lights are beautiful. Ah, that corn is feeding the brain.

Peace be with all of you.

Thanks so much for the comments you left on my diabetes post. I'm sorry that you've been diagnosed. I was devastated when I found out I had it in 1992.

Be sure to take care of yourself, that is the important thing. Have a terrific weekend.
