SUNSET AT THE TURN AROUND AT THE END OF HURRICANE LANE.

SUNSET LOOKING TOWARD ALAN JACKSON'S POINT. YOU CAN SEE HIS BOAT.

LOOKING AT FLOATING MILL PARK. CENTER HILL LAKE IS VERY LOW.

PRINCE'S SHADOW. HE WOULD BE UNDER WATER IF THE LAKE WAS UP. IT IS USUALLY UP TO THE TREE LINE. MR WRIGHT'S HOUSE IS AT THE END OF THE ROAD.

AGAIN THE LAKE WOULD COVER THESE ROCKS AND THIS IS BELOW OUR CABIN.

SUNSET AT THE WIDEST POINT ON THE LAKE.

MUST REMEMBER THIS IS WHERE THE FISH WILL BE NEXT SUMMER.

LOOKING TOWARD SECOND CREEK. THESE ROCKS WOULD BE UNDER WATER.

THE ISLAND IS REALLY OUT OF THE WATER. MOST OF THE TIMES YOU CAN ONLY SEE THE TOPS OF THE TREES. NOW YOU CAN SEE STUMPS OUT IN THE WATER AROUND THE ISLAND.

THE CABIN GETTING SOME OF THE DECK REPLACED ALONG WITH OTHER WOODWORK THAT NEEDS REPLACING. IT HAS BEEN THERE SINCE 1964, SO IT NEED SOME TENDER LOVING CARE.
THE LAKE
Prince and I took off Sunday afternoon up to check out the work being done on the cabin. So far all but one board looked okay. Prince said it was not level. Anyway, he will speak with the contractor about the board.
While he was out taking pictures of the cabin, I drug out the old heavy vac and sucked up the bugs and dirt that accumulate in the cabin. I also put out six spider glue traps to catch any intruder.
After he was finished with pictures of the cabin we walked down to the rocks. I was kicking myself for not wearing the proper shoes. A few times, I also landed on the softest and widest part of Kitty. I did not climb down the rocks as Prince did as I was afraid I would not be able to make it back up without a crane.
The wind was whipping across the lake and my pant legs were flapping so hard my shins were sore. Prince has no concept of time and I was frozen stiff, well not quite, but it sure was cold. Finally, I begged him to come stand behind me and knock the wind off which like the gentleman he is , he came to my rescue.
We stood there and watched the sun go behind the hills. The water was azure blue and it glistens as the sun headed for sleep.
The Kitty Justice is we both were wishing for a week to stay and play.

I hope the lake fills back up soon. I heard on the news that you have been having a drought. I see the lake shore is limestone. So, I’m assuming there is lots of karst in this area and more than likely some caves?

If you have time please post some more photos of the cabin.

Thanks.

How fortunate you are to have a cabin in such a beautiful location. The photos of the lake and sky are stunning.

Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing. I second Marcel's motion. If you have time, please post more photos.

If the weather there was anything like it is here today, you sure were freezing. It's cold and windy and we even had ice crystals falling instead of snow.

Enjoyed my visit, as always.

Blessings,
Mary
