NEED TO READ ABOUT BRETT
As I was sitting in the dentist office on Thursday, I saw this magazine. I have always loved to watch this Mississippi boy play football, therefore, I picked up the magazine and started reading. Before I could get done I was called back to check out the broken tooth.
Today when I met Dr. McMillian to put the temporary back off after it came off during lunch yesterday, I picked up the magazine to finish and had just gotten started where I had left off when he was ready for me. I mentioned that I would like to finish the article and he said I could take it home and then drop it the magazine back off when I was down his way.
He is the nicest young man and I could probably be his Mother, so I brought the magazine home to finish the article and if you get a chance to read the article I would suggest you take the opportunity.
The article is very well written and it tells a short history of his life and his passion for giving back.
The Kitty Justice you never know what you will happen upon to read while waiting. The sad thing is that most people do not read as much as years gone by

I know very little about sports so I can’t comment on this post. But, I’d still like to say thanks for all your kind words on my blogs. Also I dug way back in your blog the other day and found it interesting where Kitty Justice came from. I like the painting you did of her.

Lady Di,

I read a LOT. A couple or three books a month at the minimum. There is nothing like reading to soothe the spirit. I've told my grandsons that you can travel anywhere between the covers of a great book. In the past when the worries of the world have descended, I've escaped this world through reading. Glad you enjoy it as well.

Love and blessings,
Mary

Prince loves football so I watch the games with him but before the season ends they all begin to run together. Thanks for digging back into the archives.

I do not get to read as much as I use to but maybe someday I will get back to it. I think it is marvelous that you are encourging the grandsons to read.
I always believe you can let your imagination ride between the covers of the book.

Peace to you both.

Lady Di,

I grew up with sports being the most important thing in my life as is so true with most young boys. Somehow over time I lost interest as I got into other things. It’s funny now my 81 year old Mother-in-law watches the games and I have to ask her who’s playing and what’s going on. Most of my friends get a real kick that she is the sports buff in our home.

Connie and I never watch TV so even that makes us real weird. When I called to have cable hooked up for my MIL the cable folks must have thought I had just come in from another planet because I had no idea of what they were talking about as far as channels, shows or service. When I told the lady I needed cable but had no intention of watching TV I could hear her nearly pass out over the phone.

As always thanks for all your kind words. It always brightens my day when I see that you have visited one of my blogs. I do hope that one of these days you will take another cruise to Southeast Alaska and stop in Sitka. If you do you will have a tour guide to take you around. In case you can’t tell I love showing off this wonderful part of the earth.

Happy Holidays to you and yours and peace to you too.

I think it is refreshing to know that you and Connie are not TV bugs. I really think the box that came to visit holds too many peoples attention.
I grew up with very little TV and enjoyed reading more than most kids at that time. I would go to my best friends house and watch Tarzan movies and then she, her sister , my little brother and me would play Tarzan in her tree house.
Thanks for the kind offer to show us your beautiful area. I may have to print that last picture you took and paint it sometime. Again the beauty took my breath away.
Peace
Now I must go to What's Cookin to find the exact ingredients for a recipe.

Lady Di,

If you paint the photo from my blog please post it on yours. I’d love to see what you paint!

I was thinking the other day the last time I was really into TV was when Leave it to Beaver and I Love Lucy were on TV and weren’t re-runs. I also loved Andy Griffith, Bonanza and Gun Smoke as a kid. So you can see why I’m a bit out of date on what’s what with TV.
