There are two of these little tables in the living room.
There are two Church pews in the living room.

The clock is on the wall at the bottom of the stairs to the family room.

The new bead board and chair rail to dress up the kitchen.
What do all of these have in common? One very talented man and Nashville fireman. While I was down for the count on Friday , Danny came and put up the Ann Arbor beadboard and chair rail in the kitchen. It dresses the old room up and I look forward to bringing the room into the twenty first century. Not much has changed since the house was built in 1964. After that many years I guess you could say we have an antique kitchen.
The furniture was made from wood that the farm tenant wanted to get out of the old house and burn. I did not know that the wood even existed . Frank, the farm tenant told me that Lewis, Prince's father had cut down this huge cherry tree on the back side of the property with the intention to make some furniture for Prince. Frank reminded me that Lewis had died in 1975 and the tree was cut several years before he died. Therefore, he reasoned that was so long ago that the wood had probably ruined.
I called a friend who makes furniture and he told me to check out how it was stored. I asked Frank if he would show me where in the old May's house it was located. It was upstairs and when I saw it I knew it should not be burned.
The above pieces of furniture were not the first made from the cherry wood just the ones made by Danny, who is the talented man that is working on my kitchen. I have four other items made by my dear friend , Rick(Pammie Pooh husband) who was the one I called and was advised to check out the storage site.
The Kitty Justice is DO NOT burn the wood as you might get some FINE FURNITUR made from the tree.
I hope FIL Lewis looks down an approves of what I had made from his tree.

Lady Di,

Your bead board, chair rail and everything looks beautiful. It sure brought some life into that room. Congratulations!

We are going to do a kitchen renovation as well. I'm looking at different ideas. Our kitchen is small, so if you have ideas to make it look larger, they would be appreciated. I wish I lived closer so you could help me plan it.

Thanks for dropping by and commenting about the photos of Griffyn.

Love and blessings,
Mary

Wow! Very impressive! Calling Danny talented is an understatement. He is very good and you should be very proud to own some of his work. You were very much right not to toss the wood. In fact most woods if kept dry will be better to built furniture with when they have air dried and seasoned as long as that cherry wood did. Some furniture makers would kill to find high quality wood like the wood mush have been that you found.

Thanks so much for your kind words on my blog. And good luck with the rest of the work on the remodel.

P.S. I bet Lewis is smiling ear to ear!
Very nice indeed!

We were lucky as it was west six miles and then jumped Davidson county and hit Sumner and Macon counties really hard. It left the west Memphis, hit Jackson and then headed in a left to right diagnol line to Macon county. Last count 31 dead.
Peace

Thanks.
Peace be with you.

I need to do more research and pick out everything for the kitchen so there will be no running around at the last moment. Thanks in advance for the award. I have not been at the computer for a few days.
Peace
