We awake to snow Saturday morning.

The red blooms on the Hawthrone bush are striking againist the snow.

Close view of the boxwoods out front.

The magnolia at the end of the house.

My tulip bed with a watchful green solar frog.

Cedar tree and bird feeder behind the Log House

My bird house behind the garage.

Can you see them? Woods above the pond

Look again.

There were actually three but maybe not in this photo.

The valley behind the pond. Good place to target practice.

Cedars along the road to the farm house.
The old road going to the white barn. You can see the cedars along the road to the farm house in the distance.Below the beginning of the old road.

The horse block in the front yard.
The bench near the well house.

Maggie following Prince down the drive looking for a paper to bring home. It was not there until around noon.

The Kitty Justice is the white blanket is only a memory now.

Lady Di,

The photos are awesome. Loved seeing the deer in the woods. I spotted the one right away, but had to look for the others.

I love Maggie. She is adorable and she knew the paper was late.

Thanks so much for sharing all of your beautiful scenery and wildlife. I always enjoy my visits with you.

Blessings,
Mary

Wow! You’ve a lot more snow pics from Saturday than I took. Of course, Alex the furball and I didn’t leave that house. (You know how much he detests fluffy water).

Thanks for letting me see beyond on own yard.

Hi Dianne ~~ Great photos but I hope the snow soon melts and you get some
warmer weather. Thanks for your comments ~~ It is frightening to think that these kids are leaders of the future, as you say. Take care
around all that snow, and icy roads.
Love, Merle.

Very nice photos. It sure looks like the ground hog was right. We had another dusting this morning too.

Glad you enjoyed more of our snow photos. I really have to agree, Maggie is adorable. She now knows how to spell P A P P E R. We started referring to it as the thing and I wonder when you will apply that word to the paper. She gets BEYOND excited when we mention it is time to go get the paper. I am glad you saw the deer. Peace

Maggie loves the fuffy water as much as Alex dislikes it. Thanks for visiting and take care of yourself. Peace

Merle,
The snow went as quickly as it came. It is now light jacket weather, in the sixties and tomorrow it is suppose to reach seventy degrees. Our roads were fine by mid day on Saturday but we stayed in as there was a promise of black ice on the roadways. Sunday only a spot or two of snow was left. Take care. Peace

Marcel
Glad you enjoyed your visit. I painted the Center of Barnoff Island yesterday on a tiny canvas. I had gotten this frame for a 3X4 but it cut off a good half and inch all around my other little paintings so I painted on with a white border and it fits fine in the frame. I will try to post a picture later as MIL had her veins in her right leg worked on today.
Peace

Hi Dianne, I just love your eye for interesting photos. I never tire of looking at them. I love the contrast of the hawthorne photo. Your scenery is so very much like mine. Don't you ever wonder how people can be happy in the city...I know I do. The peace and tranquility of the woods is inspiring, even in a photo!

I wish I could take credit for all the photo but alas Prince took most of the ones around the farm. I did manage to take the ones around the house. Yes I never tire of the country and the woods. Peace

Jen
Thanks for visiting. I had wished to help with the heat with my photos. Peace

I think Maggie would have made a good duck dog if I was in physical shape to hunt. I think she would have stayed out all day if I had let her. Peace

Oh my all I can say is WOW those pictures are breathtaking!! I wish we would get a good deep snow. My kids have not seen snow that is very deep at all. I remember good snows when I was a little girl!

Ah! I had forgotten about duck dogs and other swimming canines. I should not have because I once had a lab who loved to swim. Of course, fluffy water is another situation all together, unless, I suppose, the animal is a Saint Bernard.
