WHY IS THE BASKET THIS WAY?

I SEE IT DOWN THERE ON THE BOTTOM.
IT IS MINE!

I BETTER LEAVE HIM ALONE. JUST LIKE A PERSON NASTY BEFORE COFFEE BUT BEFORE SUET?

CURIOUS TO SEE IF HE CAN FIGURE IT OUT.

GOT IT! GOT IT!
DOWNEY SOLUTION.
No not laundry but peckerwood. Of all the woodpeckers this one is my favorite.
The Kitty Justice is if we give it some thought we can figure it out just like the little Downey Woodpecker.

Lady Di,

You've got that right. This fellow was persistent. He knew it was there and nothing could keep him from figuring out how to get it. Love the photos of your birds.

The cougar that I spoke of in my post can only be shot by police or a conservation official. I doubt they will do that unless it attacks someone, which it won't if people leave it alone. Instead they will tranquilize it and move it back to an area that has other cougars. Man is definitely the intruder here, not the cougar. I'm hoping that he (from the size they said, it is almost definitely a male) has moved further north where there is a remote wooded area.

Love visiting here and learning more about your birds. I need a better camera so I can zoom in on the birds in our area.

Love and blessings,
Mary

We could all learn from nature. My reference was to one of the comments where she said a hunter had shot a cougar because it was stalking him.
Glad you enjoyed the visit. Peace

I've got a couple of these that hit my suet feeder all the time. They usually go right from the feeder to our hawthorne tree and start pecking away rapidly. I can't figure if they are hiding them or just trying to crack the seeds open. But either way... I love watching them. ~ jb///

Thanks I will copy the prayer for my Sister's Sunday class. Peace

LZ,
The birds are fun to watch and they are probably using the hawthorne tree as a tool to crack open the seed. They will use the fork on the tree stump where the feeder are hanging as a tool here. Peace
