Early Wednesday morning 11-5. I grabbed my camera and rushed to the curve or as we call it the turn around looking down the drive.

These beautiful maples were vivid.

I stood underneath them and took this photo looking up into their golden glory.
I then stepped down the drive below the big oak and took this photo looking up .

Here the big oaks trunk shows a beautiful contrast with the maple leaves.

Looking down the drive from the outside of our home.

Prince's little ginkgo is golden. It has grown twice it's size this summer.

This photo was taken after lunch when I went out to refill the bird feeders and put out fresh water. This is behind the log cabin.

This is the same scene as I stand further back on the porch. The feeder on the left is a new addition this year.

I planted that maple between the house and cedar tree. Check out the walnut branches on the top left. The walnuts get their leaves first and loose them first too.

Afternoon sun on the maples at the turn around. I was headed to the mailbox. Yes, Maggie was tagging along.

As I walked down the drive, I looked up to my left and saw the sun on this huge hickory.

Trying to get the tree tops with the blue sky. Could not lean back that far.

Looking back and up the hill to the cabin and house.

Another Maple I planted behind the Dutch Barn. I was standing just below the three big Beech trees on the driveway.

A few steps further down the drive and I was greeted with this array of colors. The little sign tells folks that this is a Private Drive
Walking along at a very slow pace, this is the Maple on the left of the Cedar in the previous photo.

Looking up the drive at the little Maple which I dug up out of the woods and transplanted it here. It has had a hard life, from when it was a twig. First one fall the man who was chopping the leaves with the tractor, ran right over the top and cut it down. Then last year a big oak branch fell on the upper side and split it almost in half. It has straighten up some this year.

Looking up into the Dogwood at it's red berries. This tree is located at the bottom of the drive on the left as you go down the hill.

Back up on the porch looking at the long shadows of the afternoon sun and the colorful Jackson hill.

To the right of the Jackson hill is the familiar white barn. I was trying to get the bright red tree just to the right of the barn.

I hope you have enjoyed the color from the hill.
I am trying to be quite as Prince was at work all night long. He arrived back home a 7AM. He had taken today off and will be sleeping his vacation day away. So here I am playing on the computer while he sleeps. I had to shut the door to our bedroom to keep Maggie from pestering him and waking him up and now the telephone rang. OOPS ,I guess I should have turned off the ringer. Maybe I was quick enough not to spoil his rest.
Back to the trees, yesterday the wind blew and we now have a carpet of leaves from the Hickory trees. Then it rained last night which was needed but again more leaves are falling.
The Kitty Justice is that I took the photos in a nick of time to share with y'all.

Hey
LOL I forgot the photo at the end. I guess that is what happens when a body has not been bloggin in a few days. If y'all will enlarge the photos, the colors are brillant. Peace
I wondered what happened. I felt I just got lost---but here I am.
Totally beautiful photos. What a gorgeous spot you live in/on.
The trees here have been spectacular this year too. I think it was because we had a warm dry October. It is usually rainy and windy so all the leaves get knocked down.
Thanks for the views around your place. MB

Stunning photos...such beauty there. The trees remind me of the aspens in Colorado....each part of this land has it's own paticular beauty, doesn't it? Thanks for sharing your home...Billie

Beautiful Fall pictures! WOn't be long, though, and cold weather will set in! We had 77 yesterday and I don't know what today got up to, but I had to run my AC. Love winter in the South, though, so I am not complaining...it does no good, anyhow! LOL

I am trying to amke my rounds and get back into blogging again. I work so much that it leaves very little time for blogging these days, but I will visit as often as I can.
