Come on in. Tomorrow family and longtime friends will enter these doors.
Yes that is Maggie asleep on her bed near the red trunk. I got a bargain at the store on the poinsettia. That is an white tail antler we found while out on the farm.

Looking right from the front door, you will see my one of the two Christmas paintings that I display .

When you enter the door you are greeted with a painting I did from the first Christmas card Dad sent me after Mother died. Puppy made the star in Art Class in High School. I had to add a turkey feather or two to the Christmas arrangement.

This is a Cross Sticth picture I did many years ago when Puppy was small. My eyes prevent me from doing such close work now.

The Madonna is the center of the dining room table.

The Santa Tea Pot is the only other decoration in the dining room on the sideboard.

The living room end table has some Christmas candles including a snow man and a wooden Santa.

Behind the couch, more candles and a winter Santa with a golden reindeer.

The arrangement on the coffee table.

Three little Snow Men are in front of the windows on the right side of the fireplace.

The decorations on the mantle. The gold birds were one of Mimi's wedding presents.

The fireplace is graced by some stuffed animals. Sam Cat looks forward to this time of year as he likes to steal them at night and take them into Mimi's room. Last year he preferred the green doll box but this year he likes the Scooby beanie baby.

This is the only decoration on the left side of the fireplace. As I said, I did not have it in me to decorate like I usually do. It is fun to try to find the right place for the right decoration.
The salads have been made and the cake baked. Candy is boxed and the shopping done so now it is time to have a little fun.
The Kitty Justice is for you to enjoy this wonderful season and never forget the true meaning of Christmas.
Peace to Y'all and to Y'all a Good Night.

Since Christmas is only a week away, I will refrain from putting the tinsel on the tree this year. It looks rather bare without it from my view.
Notice the fog. It has been like this for days. I am beginning to think we are a part of London. Our neighbor told me she had seen Martha Stewart decorate her outside pots this way, so if MS can do it so can Kitty Justice. Oops I need to fill the bird feeders.

A little more left over Christmas tree to decorate another pot.

I ran out of left over Christmas tree but with five big Holly trees, I thought I would trim some of the branches for this pot. I could not leave it undecorated. With bird feeders hanging above each pot, the little birds like to rest in the branches.
As Father Wilson would say "we took a side journey the last day and half." Mimi had a bump on her gum above her bridge so we took a quick trip to our regular dentist for him to check on it. He thought we should see a specialist to check to see if she needed a root canal. Yikes.
Yesterday we headed to one of the busiest areas of Nashville this time of year (Green Hills). After about 45 minutes of me waiting out front, I was called back to help Mimi make a decision. He had had a cancellation and could do the root canal today or we could schedule it for a later day. I looked at Mimi and she looked at me and we nodded in agreement. "Lets do it today. " I was told it would be an hour so I could go wonder the shops if I wanted . The choice to sit in the waiting room with no visible good magazines to read or television to watch or wonder the shops.
Guess which one, I chose?
I sniffed and touched everything in the body works shop. Read the labels of all kinds of herbs and oils and then headed across the street to Whole Foods. I had been there only one other time. I circled all the aisles at least twice reading and looking and also the food bars. Since it was getting close to the dinner hour and I sure would not want to cook, I started doing some serious looking at the food. After I had found what I wanted and the hour was almost up, I ordered crab cakes and Greek meat balls. Prince is a red meat kind of guy. Then I boxed up some ed mane rice and some grilled asparagus. I got a container of New England Clam Chowder for the Mimi. Also, I got Mimi some French Truffles.
I headed to the silver bullet and put the dinner in the cooler I always keep in the trunk and up the stairs to retrieve Mimi. I sat down and down the hall came Dr. Sparrow. He poked his head out and said he found another canal and it was infected so it would be about another ten minutes. He was glad to have found it as he was just about finished when he poked around one more time. He said it would be about ten minutes. I knew at the time how doctors tell time, so after 3o minutes I went back to get Mimi and they showed us the films and then the bad news. The bridge had popped off and he had temporally put it back on but we need to call Dr. M the first thing in the morning.
We dropped off the prescription for the antibiotics and Prince stopped and picked them up on the way home. When he arrived I heated up our wonderful meal and had a big glass of water. It was soooooo very nice and the food was delicious.
Today we called and sure enough Dr. M wanted to see us at ten and we were there until noon. I finished my 2009 calendar that I carry with me , noting birthdays, anniversaries, special events and telephone numbers and addresses. Dr.M came out and said he did not like the way the bridge looked and he had to put in some new posts. He apologized for the time but Mimi has pretty teeth and he wanted it to look nice, so he was ordering a new bridge to replace the old one and he would not charge for the new one as he stood behind all of his work. Now that is what I call a Dentist with ethics. Too bad others do not follow his lead.
We made Mimi and appointed and it was the first one to be put in the 2009 calendar. Ah, now I am tired. Nothing like sitting around in a dentist office to wear a body out. My back does not bother me if I keep changing positions but if I sit, stand or lay too long, I am in for some pain.
The Kitty Justice is we averted a crisis during the holidays.

This is our tree a few years ago but I hope to get one tomorrow. I love the smell of a real tree. That is when the house will get the feel and smell of Christmas when the tree gets put up. Do you like to decorate the tree? I like to turn on Christmas Music and have a glass of Christmas Cheer and then start decorating.

The hill has very few decorations but I did put a few things in the hall, dining room and living room. Nothing like usual. I just did not have it in me with all the work I have been doing to get ready for The Show. Three weeks tomorrow and a Sunday afternoon and it will be over.

Now for the topic , is there something that makes a memory come charging back from the closets of your memory?

This morning when the tea pot started whistling, Prince said "That sound always reminds me of Gran Dot."

When I went to the grocery store, last Wednesday, I saw a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread and I grabbed it up and thought of all the times, that Cousin Ann would bring us loaves of this wonderful bread. Of course this bread did not compare with those from the bakery in Florida, but it made me think of her as she would always send or bring these loaves around this time of year. I went home and for the last few days I have eaten pieces and had wonderful thoughts of Ann.

It is like those little round candies made of peppermint and butterscotch, I always recall my wonderful neighbors who took me under their wings. George Cotton was never without one of these candies and he would always offer you one. Ah what glorious memories.

I love to eat oranges at this time of year because my Grandpa Christian, who was the first man I ever loved, would always bring us Babes a sack for Christmas.

Since Mother love to DECORATE for Christmas, I will feel her joy as I trim the tree tomorrow.

The Kitty Justice is those who are now Angels left us with these little triggers so we will remember them.

The Jackson hill colors are gone for another year.
Gary off to fix one of the telephone problems.

My sense of humor at work. Prince's nickname started out as "Hot Dog" and now has been shorten to just "Dog."
Prince and Gary worked together back in the Nortel days and now they are once again working side by side at the hospital.
I felt like we need the hospital last week. On Tuesday if it was possible I do believe I coughed up a lung. Yes, Mimi and I got the flu and we are still feeling the after effects.
I was able to crawl off the hill only twice last week. Once to get Mimi to the hair dressers and the next time to help retrieve the blue farm truck which had been in the shop getting it's transmission fixed. I only drove the silver bullet back from the shop and thought at one time I would have to pull over as I had scummed to another coughing attack. I did stop by the post office and drop all my invitations into the mail box. I guess that is all that was done by this sick kitty.
Our Anniversary came and both Prince and I were happy to be walking upright. We did manage a mini date to TSC for birdseed and corn for the deer.
The Kitty Justice is that we on the hill are better but will need some more time to be 100 percent.
