Reminders!!!!!!

This is our tree a few years ago but I hope to get one tomorrow. I love the smell of a real tree. That is when the house will get the feel and smell of Christmas when the tree gets put up. Do you like to decorate the tree? I like to turn on Christmas Music and have a glass of Christmas Cheer and then start decorating.

The hill has very few decorations but I did put a few things in the hall, dining room and living room. Nothing like usual. I just did not have it in me with all the work I have been doing to get ready for The Show. Three weeks tomorrow and a Sunday afternoon and it will be over.

Now for the topic , is there something that makes a memory come charging back from the closets of your memory?

This morning when the tea pot started whistling, Prince said "That sound always reminds me of Gran Dot."

When I went to the grocery store, last Wednesday, I saw a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread and I grabbed it up and thought of all the times, that Cousin Ann would bring us loaves of this wonderful bread. Of course this bread did not compare with those from the bakery in Florida, but it made me think of her as she would always send or bring these loaves around this time of year. I went home and for the last few days I have eaten pieces and had wonderful thoughts of Ann.

It is like those little round candies made of peppermint and butterscotch, I always recall my wonderful neighbors who took me under their wings. George Cotton was never without one of these candies and he would always offer you one. Ah what glorious memories.

I love to eat oranges at this time of year because my Grandpa Christian, who was the first man I ever loved, would always bring us Babes a sack for Christmas.

Since Mother love to DECORATE for Christmas, I will feel her joy as I trim the tree tomorrow.

The Kitty Justice is those who are now Angels left us with these little triggers so we will remember them.

Oh that tree is so pretty and looks like you like to use tinsel? I love tinsel and alway decorated with it, the more the better.. But now that we have all the cats i don't. I have trouble keeping them from eating the on the fake tree.
By the way that is my dream too, i would love to be able to have all the cats and dogs safe, and i guess that would definitely take the lottery.

No better dream than ours. I hope this years tree looks as good. Yes I will use tinsel this year. Sam Cat does not bother it. He would rather still my stuff toys I place around the fireplace. It is a game he waits to play with me every year. This year he has an attaction to the beanie babie of Scooby Doo. Peace

Dear Dianne ~~ I hope you can get a tree and get it decorated to bring
back all those fond memories of the
past and loved ones. Thanks for your visit to my blog and I am glad you like my ferns and white Hoya which has a mauve centre. Take care
my friend, Love, Merle.

A real tree, Christmas music as my family and I decorate it, and a (few) cups of Christmas cheer bring back many excellent memories.

Tree was gotten and I finished putting more ornaments in the holes that we missed Sunday night. It was either too dark or too much cheer. LOL.
I wrapped presents today and tried to catch up on laundry. My BGF is coming Sunday.
Peace

Glad to get those memories turning. Peace
It is funny what triggers those special memories and sometime right out of the blue--no clue! Tinsel reminds me of my Aunt MaryAlice who decorated the tree one strand at a time (I have no patirnce for that) and then had the most gorgeous tree-EVER. She was very special to me. MB

I could not say it better than you
"out of the blue-no clue" But what glorious memories they can be.
Just like certain songs have special meaning so do our triggers.
Peace
