These photos were taken before the really cold weather and the snow. Puppy took all of these photos. He was just moving into the cabin.

This is the back of the blue door and your first look at the middle level. If you had just stepped into the cabin this would be on your right side.
In the previous photo you could see the beginning of the rock chimney. This view is a continuation of the chimney and the rest of the right side of the room.

This area is the left side of the blue door of the middle floor. The steps going up are to Puppy's bedroom and the door on the right of the photo is at the top of the steps going down into the bottom floor.

When you go up the steps to the top floor you will enter the room in front of the window. Puppy did not wish to put curtains up as he wanted to see the sun rise.

Here is where Puppy sleeps. That is Pa Christian's iron bed and the very first piece of furniture that I had when I moved away from home. I really think it is neat that he wished to use Pa's bed at the cabin.
It was 5.7 degrees this morning when Maggie wanted to go for the paper. The weather folks say it will be 25 degrees today and the next couple of days we will get into the thirties. Yeah.
The Kitty Justice is I will have to show how Puppy decorated the cabin and the bottom floor tomorrow.

What a very nice cabin. I love the attic kneewalls. One house we lived in had a similar attic and all my babies slept there---almost stacked like cordwood---until we added on to the little house. I think they missed the coziness after wards. Yes we must see the finished rooms.

I enjoyed you last post and was wondering if I could use the peeking Cardinals as my computer background. MB
Oh I forgot. We seldom have single digit weather or even in the teens for that matter. Very mild here--Just a lot of rain. But I am seeing signs of SPRING. Still early I know but a girl can hope can't she. MB

Lady Di,

I'm envious of Puppy getting to live in that beautiful cabin. Love the stone fireplace and he has a terrific view from his bedroom. I don't blame him for not wanting curtains on there.

It was cold here today, but Mom, the boys and I ventured out in the cold. Will post photos a little later.

Blessings,
Mary

I had to LOL at the cordwood statement. Of course you can use the peeking Cardinals and I would be honored since you take so many wonderful photos. Well, I may have to pack my bags and head your way. I hate real COLD or real HOT weather. The last few winters have not been as bad as the cold would come and go quickly but I think we are setting some kind of record. Not the kind one would like. Peace

Mary
I am so glad y'all like the cabin. I have always liked the stone fireplace. Peace

Dear Dianne ~~ Lovely to see inside
the cabin and it is nice that Puppy chose to use the old bed, and no curtains to see the sun rise.
I also like seeing your bird visitors too. So pretty.
