Some folks call it the Natchez Trace but during this time, I refer to it as a Tunnel of Purple. On every side of the Trace are blooming Red bud trees.

The Natchez Trace Bridge is about twelve miles from home and this photo was taken from Highway 96 entrance to the Trace. We just went down to the bottom and turned around.

This is the sign that greets you as you turn off highway 96 to head up to the Trace.

This is the view from the bridge as we were heading back home on the trace.

Prince and I went down and back late Tuesday evening to see the tunnel of purple. We had gone Sunday afternoon but the trees were not in their full glory.
The kitty justice is every spring we get a purple show before the dogwoods bloom.

Hi Dianne ~~ Thank you so much for sharing the Tunnel of purple which
is beautiful and your pics are great.

It was great to have some family over Easter and I enjoyed having them
I am glad that Prince is helping with the garden and I do hope that toe is recovering. Glad you enjoyed the Job history joke. Retirement
can be so good.
Take care dear friend,Love, Merle.
Di, The Tunnel of Purple is beautiful in purple. What a lovely sight. Not too many Redbud trees out this way. Lovely.

The young man returned home and I hope he came away from here knowing that there is a different way of life. We all are products of our upbringing but he is young enough to make a change. MB
That was a wonderful trip you took us on:) My favorite was the one on your way home....just the vastness is beautiful.

It was truly a sight to see as both sides of the trace are loaded with redbuds. I noticed a few white dogwoods trying to bloom as we rode along. I hope ya'll have a wonderful weekend too. Ours is to be sunny again. Peace
