Christmas morning we awoke to a White Christmas. It had started snowing on Christmas Eve and some of the flakes were large enough to see the designs. I did not venture out that evening to take any photos. So the first thing I did while most still slumbered, I headed outside with my camera.
Prince , Maggie and I walked around the cabin and the house. At each turn, I would find something to snap a photo. I picked out the ones, I thought y'all would enjoy.
At times, it was snowing so hard you could not see the white barn. I took this one from the bottom porch.
This is of a tree between our house and Puppy's cabin.
Puppy's cabin with the old bell and seeder decorated with the snow. Prince built a roaring fire downstairs and we were just about to put the sausage casserole in the oven, when others began to stroll into the kitchen.
As it continued to snow off and on all day, we enjoyed our family and the warmth of fire.
The kitty justice "there is no better way to spend a White Christmas than curled up by the fire."

Wow, your header is something! Very impressive!

Things covered with snow (roofs, trees, plants etc..) always look beautiful and romantic in my eyes.
Puppy's cabin looks particularly cute.

I completely agree with the last sentence of your post - on spending a white Christmas by the fire.

Lady Di, Beautiful photos. We had very little snow here for Christmas. I still want to live in that little cabin. LOL Puppy is very lucky to live there.

Glad you had a wonderful Christmas. Wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Blessings,
Mary

Glad you had a wonderful Christmas. Does Puppy live in the little cabin all the time, or just special occasions?
This looks like a perfect white Christmas and I think the casserole would top it off...

Thanks. The rake was residing in a ditch on the farm and Prince brought it up to our yard as I wanted it for yard art. I usually decorate it for Christmas but not this year.
I agree the cabin is cute and I decorated the doors on it and our home. Peace

Thank you for the compliment on the photos. I think Puppy knows he is a lucky guy and he loves the cabin. Wishing you the same for 2011. Peace

Puppy lives in the cabin all the time. He loves living there as he is close to home but has his own private domain. Peace

It was perfect snow to admire the scenery but clear roads to drive upon. We had fresh ground sausage in the casserole which made it even better. A friend was generous with the gift of fresh sausage. Peace
