The dogwoods are in full bloom all around middle Tennessee and our yard is no exception. My friend, Frank, dug this dogwood up when it was a tiny sprout in the woods on the farm. He brought it up one morning many years ago and asked, "where do you want it?" I thought since the bird bath was already in this part of the yard that it would look nice near it. Also, I could easily water the tree as I put water in the bird bath. I could also see the tree from the windows as I stroll down the hall. This year it is really pretty.
Closer and below even closer.
The kitty justice is I did pick the best spot for this dogwood tree.
PS Saturday we broke 3 records with our weather of 90 something degrees. Our thermometers had it at one point 95 degrees. Yikes too hot for April.

Soooo pretty....bet it smells good too....we all have some crazy weather that is for sure.
Well something crazy is going on---I left a looong comment and it just disappeared---and of course I cannot remember all I said. LOL
Anyway you did choose the right spot for the dogwood. It looks great.
Our weather here has ben awful for April. Abnormal lows--today in the 40s and more rain. If April Showers bring May Flowers then May will be bursting out all over.
Not much blooming yet and what does is getting beat down by the rain.. I am getting beat down by the rain. Well we do get a spot of sun on occasion but not enough. there my rant is done thanks for the shoulder to cry on. LOL MB

Oddly enough, the blooms are just eye candy and the nose is left to find something else to sniff. Sounds like we all are having strange weather. We have tornado warnings out until 5pm today. Yikes. Thanks and Peace

Sometime ole blogger just eats up words and photos and put them where no one can find them, or at least that is how I find the ole guy to be. Rant all you wish as this shoulder is always here for you. Grab your umbrella and do as Gene Kelley did "Sing in the Ran." Gotta unplug as the storms are coming. Peace and Thank you.
Hi Di, Beautiful pictures of your Dogwood. Ours are just beginning to bloom up here. We have a pink one in our yard (as you know since you have seen my header)... ha

We went into the 80's all weekend --but did not break a record.. We were close though... Gads!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

Thanks and you know this weather has been CRAZY. Last night a front came through and it rained and rained and rained. This morning it is clearing but when I awoke it was 49 degrees at 5AM. Big difference. Peace
So pretty, I have tried to grow these, but they just never do well. I have to enjoy them from afar.
