When Prince and I  went to the Farmers Market downtown, I found this Fuchsia plant with the notation that it attached humming birds. So I put it outside the kitchen door awaiting the discovery of the hummingbirds which visit our upper porch.
Beside the Fuchsia plant sits the only remaining existence of the brain head cactus that a friend gave me from her huge plant. I cared for it the way she advised but after 2 winters, the third summer I brought the large part outside, it gave up the ghost. My SIL brought me the Box wood basil from Ms. and after I feed it, it has taken on a happier life.
These petunias sit on the right side and another multiple basket sits of the left of the bench and I love to sit near them in the morning drinking in their aroma as I sip my coffee.
My porch pots would not be complete without the usual geraniums. I have only 3 pots of them this year. I also love their fragrance.
I have 3 pots of this Brazilian Plant and think it adds to the corner near the steps.
The kitty justice is that I have shown you some of my plants on the porch now it is your turn.
Here are 3 Instructions for today for the little book by H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
43. Never give up on anybody. Miracles happen every day.
44. Show respect for teachers.
45. Show respect for police officers and firefighters.
46. Show respect for military personnel
47. Don't waste time learning the "tricks of the trade". Instead, learn the trade.
48. Keep a tight rein on your temper.

Dear Dianne ~~ Lovely plants that are
so colorful for your warmer weather.
So nice to have your morning coffee amond the petunias. Loved the Jackson Brown Jr. wisdom.
Glad you enjoyed the Cup and helmet joke. Kristen says she will come again which will be nice. I can't believe the windows you have to clean
and how long it will take you. Glad you liked the Snapdragon joke.
Take care my friend, Love, Merle.
Your porch plants are lovely...espeically like the last one.

Glad you are enjoying the instructions from Mr. Brown. Yes, I am much like my Mother and Grandpa as they both loved to plant and watch the results. The fragrance of flowers are a little bit of Heaven on Earth. Peace

Patty
For years, I thought the purple plant was a shamrock but later found out it was called Brazilian Butterfly. Glad you enjoy the instructions. I think it should be a book used in the classrooms of schools daily. Peace

Merle
I feel very fortune that I get to sit and have my coffee on the porch on occasion. I just love the smell of petunias. Happy to hear you are enjoying the instructions from Mr. Brown's book. Wishing you enough. Love and Peace
