I have located three boxes of old photos and these are of 1974. I sometimes miss the cows but then again I did not have to take care of them. An Angus bull was kept because the calves would not be too large for the cows to birth. The pond no longer looks as full because of the dry weather. The last photo you can still see the road going down to the farm house and the field below. The kitty justice is the field nor road are visible today nor do we have cattle today.

I like the photos with the cows and the bull; they're lovely!

Yes, things change - no more cows, the pond is almost dry, and people grow older. C'est la vie.
Great old pictures, Di.... We too are VERY dry up here. Haven't had any rain much at all in 2-4 weeks. The rains just go around us... We need a GOOD one...

My Dad always had a cattle farm, but sold them when he got older-that lasted a couple of weeks then he bought a couple and put them next to the house where he could look at them. When that got to be too much, he rented the land so he could look at someone else's.Now he never gets out and never mentions them. Time marches on.

Glad you enjoyed the seventy photos. I miss looking out and seeing the cows but the gentleman who bought most of the farm has horses, so we get to see them occasionally. Peace

We got a quick shower yesterday and it soaked in faster than it could rain. However, I bet if I dug down into the ground, I would find it very dry within inches. It would not hurt if we got a weeks of slow steady rain to soak the ground good. Peace

I understand how he would want to watch the cattle being a country girl myself. It is relaxing to look out on a field of cattle or even a few. Yes time stops for no one. Peace
