This is a view from Knoxie's front yard at their farm in Kentucky. Actually the corn goes behind the house and in front of the house as the gravel drive circles around the field.
This is Charlie their walk on dog. He was skin and bone and terrible hungry and abused when he arrived at their farm. Now he never leaves the yard of his wonderful new home. However, he still is leary of human touch and will not let anyone pet him. I just love when a " walk on" adopts a good family.
Knoxie's husband Doc had sent a hand drawn map how to get to the farm. The directions at the top of the map go as follows--Go toward Clarksville --First Exit in Ky--Turn right toward Pembroke--sign at drive. I took the instructions literally. Just like a child. Therefore, I saw lots of Kentucky that was not on the map. I took the drawing to show the road and it curves and how far each one happen to be. NOT!!!! Mz Merlot was humming along at a nice clip and I had added the miles together and did not even start looking until 5 miles down the road. I was suppose to go 1.5 miles and turn. ETC. ETC. I stopped and a nice young man got in his truck and let me follow him to their house. When Kitty goes by directions I need actual road numbers and if I need to turn more than once tell me. I am not good with mileage only. The kitty justice when the Doc said you were suppose to go 1.5 miles and turn, the map took on new meaning. Should I say I felt like a real IDIOT.

You sound just like my husband. We have lived here ten years and he still knows only one way to the post office or the bank!LOL!I can usually find any place, hubby is amazed at some of the trips I take him on. That is a hansome dog and I am sure he is very grateful to these nice people for helping him.

Your blog layout is one of the most beautiful I've seen, if not the most beautiful.

I'm touched by the story about the dog. Like you I love it when an abandoned/abused dog finds a good family.

If I have roads listed like route 110 etc I think I would have done better. Also, you sound like Prince as he has a built in navigation center. Peace

Nick
The roads and fields reminded me a lot of where I grew up except we had more hills. Peace

You are so very kind and thank you for the compliment. It is just one heart warming story of love instead of abuse that we all need to hear about. Peace
