TODAY WE BROKE THE 1952 RECORD. THE OFFICIAL TEMPERATURE WAS 102 DEGREES TODAY. HOWEVER, ON OUR THERMOMETER IT READ 108 degrees.
The kitty justice is to show a couple of January photos to try and cool us off.

Even up here on the plateau, we are hotter than hot... It's miserable... I'm SO ready for FALL---and I love your winter pictures..

It was absolutely miserable yesterday when we broke the record of 1952, which is one of the hottest years on record. I have already been out watering and the humidity is unbearable. Since it was so hot in June, I thought Fall would come early. Maybe cooler weather will be here soon. Peace

Good idea posting winter pictures!

Perhaps the record heat and humidity of this year in the world, has something to do with the Fucoshima disaster in Japan.
Since talk on anomalous climate started in the late eighties, I believe the anomality began after the Cernobil nuclear disaster in 1986. IMHO, only nuclear particles that have penetrated the upper atmosphere could have such an impact on world climate. Politicians and nuclear scientists, obviously, won't agree to that view.
Ouch--hotter than hot--eggs frying on the sidewalk--etc. So glad we are just in the 70s and that is plenty hot for me.

Thanks. I do believe your theory has merit. Peace

Seventies. How heavenly for you. The temps are to be in the mid nineties but the humidity is 78 so that makes it feel so much HOTTER. Peace

Thank goodness the temp never showed anything that high here, although we did break some records. Today was a little cooler and nice, looks like rain at the moment, but I'm not holding my breath. Happy week-end.
