Very interesting post. It is nice to know the history of the cemetary.

Hi there, What an interesting cemetery. Thanks for all of the great information.

My hubby loves studying the Confederate War... He reads and reads.. He'd love that cemetery.

Not a problem as I know you were very busy. It is sad that those boys never made it home and no one knows their name. Peace

George would love the city of Franklin as there are several sites he could visit including the Cemetery. On the square is a statue of a Confederate Soldier looking NORTH. Peace

Private cemetery? That sounds interesting. So do the McGavocks that maintained it, and by doing this they've done a great act of kindness and patriotism.
