This is the photo that appeared in our local paper Monday morning. It had rained and rained Sunday, so the big oak was too heavy to stand up on it's huge base. I bet it was hundreds of years old.
Prince, Puppy and I had just gone through that way to go out to eat for Mother's day. The electric pole was completely snapped in half. Lots of folks were without electricity and telephone services but fortunately we only have cable coming from that direction.
We called the cable company and our neighbors called the cable company. Each time we told them a large tree had fallen and our cable needed restoring. They sent out someone Monday, he shook his head and said he could not fix it, Tuesday they sent out 2 people and they shook their heads and said they could not fix it, then yesterday they sent another gentleman and he said a bucket truck need to be dispatched to fix the problem. Later in the late evening a bucket truck arrived and worked on the problem.
The kitty justice is WHY IT TOOK 3 TRIPS OUT TO DISPATCH A BUCKET TRUCK TO FIX IT WHEN WE HAD TOLD THEM OF THE LARGE TREE HAD FALLEN AND THE FIRST GUY SHOULD HAVE SENT A BUCKET TRUCK.
BTW Next time you see a Comcast commercial think about the service we got from them.

If you get a REAL person you cannot understand what they say or they do not understand you. Really glad no one what hurt. Peace

I think some Angels were on duty and that was why no one was hurt.
We use to have Direct TV with Bell South Dial up internet. When comcast was available, we just combined the two. Peace

Dear Dianne ~~ What a huge tree to fall and thankfully none of you were there at that time.I hope your allergies have settled down by now. My shaking is much better too for the time being.
Thank you for the lovely butterfly card. Take care my friend. Sending you enough. Love and Peace, Merle.
