We have two Magnolia trees and the blooms are way up near the tops.
The kitty justice is you either love the smell or you are overcome by the fragrant.

Maggie sniffed Moe's nose and said "Okay, I will leave you alone. Mother likes being left alone too when she is sick."
Moe does not act sick. He had his annual check up at the vets and I was glad he did not give me much of a hassle getting into his crate.
The vet checked his ears and eyes and said they looked great and he had gained weight and looked really good. THEN she said has he eaten any small animals lately. I told her he constantly brings me presents and I had a flying squirrel on my door step this morning. Next question had he eaten it?
I could not gather my fog filled brain to understand this line of questioning. UNTIL, she said he has a hard mass in his stomach. It could be a critter or a tumor. If a critter, well it would eventually dissolve but a tumor this size means trouble. The Vet wants me to bring him back in a week to let her check him again.
There is NO kitty justice hearing such news after being so sick myself.

We had planned for weeks to head out for a three day trip up to Center Hill Lake but alas as with the BEST made plans--------
It started Wednesday of last week, my throat on one side started getting sore. Thursday my head was like a giant melon which had been punched because a waterfall of mucus was running out of every possible exit. The tears rolling down my cheeks were bigger than most water balloons. Friday with every breath I took or if I tried to  utter a word, well I would cough up a lung. Friday night no one within ear shot got any rest as the deep croupy cough was like a fog horn guiding the lost ship (SLEEP) in from sea. Saturday only sporadic episodes of the fog horn could be heard. Sunday, well lets just say I did not go to Church. I do not think anyone would have wanted to shake my hand and say "Peace be with you."  Today,  my voice sounds like a poor imitation of Lou Rawls.
The kitty justice is to stay home curled up under a blanket if you do not feel well.

The Rose Breasted Grosbeaks have been coming around the feeder for about a month. Each time I start to take their photo, they fly away. So I settled for the Red Bellied Woodpecker, a Squirrel and a Hummingbird.

The kitty justice is I hope you enjoy the ones I snapped. Have a great weekend.

This is the photo that appeared in our local paper Monday morning. It had rained and rained Sunday, so the big oak was too heavy to stand up on it's huge base. I bet it was hundreds of years old.
Prince, Puppy and I had just gone through that way to go out to eat for Mother's day. The electric pole was completely snapped in half. Lots of folks were without electricity and telephone services but fortunately we only have cable coming from that direction.
We called the cable company and our neighbors called the cable company. Each time we told them a large tree had fallen and our cable needed restoring. They sent out someone Monday, he shook his head and said he could not fix it, Tuesday they sent out 2 people and they shook their heads and said they could not fix it, then yesterday they sent another gentleman and he said a bucket truck need to be dispatched to fix the problem. Later in the late evening a bucket truck arrived and worked on the problem.
The kitty justice is WHY IT TOOK 3 TRIPS OUT TO DISPATCH A BUCKET TRUCK TO FIX IT WHEN WE HAD TOLD THEM OF THE LARGE TREE HAD FALLEN AND THE FIRST GUY SHOULD HAVE SENT A BUCKET TRUCK.
BTW Next time you see a Comcast commercial think about the service we got from them.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY.
The kitty justice is this little mother does not know we are celebrating today.

My sage plants are blooming and since that is one of my favorite colors, I just let them bloom.
Moe relaxing on the bench out front under the Pin Oak tree. He runs over to the bench whenever I come out in hopes that I too will come over there and pet him.
The kitty justice is my SAGE advise is to relax under a tree this weekend.

Cousin Bill brought Mimi these flowers for her birthday. The orange ones are gone----
but I made a nice arrangement of the daisies to put in the vase that her grandson, Lewis gave her to put in the hall.
The kitty justice I need to find out where cousin got them as they have lasted two whole weeks.

This was Sunday evening after a deluged of rain. Prince and Puppy had just gotten back inside from picking cherries when the sky opened up and mighty rain drops fell.
Of course, Prince went outside after the rain and took the lots of photos. I only got a few which I have yet to download.
The kitty justice is nature has a way of displaying promises. Do you see both rainbows?

Before and after photos of the little side garden. I had just let it go for about ten years and the majority had been taken over by small trees, bushes and raspberries. You would think it would not take very long to clear a small plot off but Puppy took several days to clear and chop out bushes and trees. Then we had to take the Massey Ferguson and chains to pull up stumps. Finally it was ready to plant. Puppy need guidance as he had never planted a garden before so the ole farmer Mom helped and advised what had to be done. Note we kept some of the raspberries that had climbed over the fence.

I have my herbs seeds in pots and my tomatoes along the porch. After I fertilize and weed, I will put down newspapers and cover it with straw to keep out future weeds and keep the moisture in the ground. Puppy also wants to do the same with his garden.
Can you believe my clematis has climbed to the top railing and has begun to creep along the rail.
Here is a close up view. After all the plants and seeds were in the ground and pots, I was cleaning up the trash and bagged up a couple of bags. I took them down the cat walk to the last trash can and yes I lost my balance twice and fell into the magnolia tree twice.
Hope y'all enjoyed this post number 1,000.
The kitty justice is the post is just another story of life on the hill.
