Love of History

This photo was taken in 1868 of Thomas B. Wilson.
For the last few days, I have immersed myself in my Love of History to deal with my emotional pain. I have added so much data to my Family Tree that is is somewhat mind boggling.
First thing I did was work on my side of the family adding facts about Uncle Charlie and his family, the latest was Angi's details.
Then I saw lots of hints and I followed all kind of trails to gather information. I even added stories from Cousin Conn's letter  of 1981. I used the information from  the little  book "Reminiscences of Thomas B. Wilson" to add other important time lines.
I had gathered some of Uncle Albert's photos and newspaper clippings from his boxes which I am sure have not been disturbed since they were packed (Due to the amount of Dust Bunnies) and found a copy of his wedding invitation to Aunt Zue (no I did not spell this wrong) In ink it had 1899 written on it but the info on the web said it was 1900. I figure the hand written number was correct.
Santa brought me my very own computer (all others I have had  were hand me ups from Puppy and  the one I was using  had become very slow) however, my new one is fast and if you hover long you will be taken to places you did not intend to go. L0L  I told you this so you will know what I am doing in case I do not respond. Also,  I need to learn how to scan old documents and photos so Puppy has a full time job educating his Mother how to complete things which were second nature on the old machine.
Going back to family history, my SIL said "That is a lot of WORK."
The Kitty Justice is it is work I do not mind completing and someday, someone will truly appreciate my efforts.

Family history is so interesting---so keep up the good work.Sometimes you find surprises. And working through it will numb the pain of your cousin.
I got a new computer--a laptop--it is so speedy and what a time figuring out windows 8 after years of everything pretty much the same. MB
Sad story about your cousin. Where did she live? Such a tragedy --and such a beautiful young gal.... Prayers for the family.

I have been immersed in Family History also. I too love Ancestry-and those hints.... I could spend 24-7 on this --IF I had the time...

Great photo.
Hugs,
Betsy

I know that the journey will be a blessed one for you...and for those to whom will read it years and years later.
Bless you...
Many hugs,
J.
Sort of like a scavenger hunt:)

You are going to really enjoy your new computer, Lady Di. I reckon you'd better commission someone else to put away all your Christmas decorations because you won't have time...your head is going to be buried in your computer! ;)

You are doing a good thing with collecting all your family history data...and it will also be very therapeutic for you during this tough, sad time.

Enjoy...and freely immerse yourself in all the memories...

Take care. :)

I put all the decorations away on New Years Eve. LOL There are a few items I missed putting away but will take no time at all to do that. Learning keeps the old brain active and this new toy will certainly do that. I learned to scan all by myself and now to learn to edit the scan photos. Ah another thing I could do without thinking now the old brain has to learn again. Peace
