Very Sad

This is my second cousin, Angi. She was a beautiful girl and woman. At 40 years of age, she left us in a very violent way. The man responsible was said by neighbors to not be very social but seemed to be caring and easy going. Angi was beaten and stabbed to death.  Her two daughters, ages 13 an 10, will have to grow up without a Mother. Her Mother only had two children and she was her first born and only daughter.
When Prince and I waited one and half hours in line at the Funeral home, it was a testimonial how much she and her family are loved in the small community.
As Police Chief Arnold stated "This leaves a trail of devastation and things will take years to be able to get over." Unfortunately, the Kitty Justice is some will never get over this lost.
The news is full of these kind of deeds but you really never think it will happen to your family.
I am here to say it can and it has.
RIP Angi

My heart breaks as I read this...
I am so very sorry.
I wish I could say or do more to help, but know that I am here, and that I care.
Love,
Jackie

Oh! Dear! Lady Di....how terribly sad...how terribly tragic for you all; so terribly, terribly wrong! One never gets over such a horror as this...there is no such thing as "closure"!

I feel for you and your family...and for the children that beautiful young woman, through no fault of her own, has left behind.

My heart and best wishes go out to you all. Please feel the warmth of my hugs.
I am so very sorry -especially for those children. My first marriage was an abusive relationship and I thank God every day that I lived to get out of it and now have a wonderful Christian husband. I wish girls and women would listen when someone tells them that abuse just keeps getting worse, no matter how many times they say they are sorry and that it will never happen again.

Oh no, how very sad. I will remember her family in my prayers tonight.
A sad comment on our times, do you think. A beautiful young woman lost to her children, family and friends. She will remain in my thoughts.

To All of Yawl
Thanks for the kind words. I am sorry to say that her being in the younger generation, I did not know her that well but her Mother Charlotte and Charlotte's brother and sister plus the generation before were very close to me. My heart broke for Charlotte when I hugged her and she broke down in horrible sobs. Angi's oldest little girl Olivia looks like a carbon copy of her Mother and Bonwyn is a beautiful girl too. Each night before I close my eyes, I pray for Charlotte, Olivia and Bonwyn that they will have the strength with God's grace to continue on. Today on the news, the guy who did this is having his first day in court. Each time it is mentioned on the news, the wound of her death is freshly open.I truly hope God can forgive him because I cannot.

I couldn't forgive him either, if I was in your position, Lady Di.

I hope the courts go hard on him...and that he never sees the light of day again. Throw the book at him; lock the door and toss the keys away!

What gives him the right to exist, anyway?
