Natchez Trace Bridge

I had just turned off Highway 96 onto the entrance to the Natchez Trace and I thought need to take a photo of the bridge. Therefore I played tourist.
After I crossed the bridge, I stopped at the overlook on the opposite side. You get a better view in the winter.
Since it was such a pretty day, I decided I would walk to the middle of the bridge and take a few photos.
I started on my left and slowly turned right. The above and below are from the left side of the bridge.

I then walked to the other side and the photo and the next two are on the right side of the bridge. The Highway you see is the one I had been on before I took the Trace.

The dark spot on the right side of the photo is the overlook where I stood to take the second photo.
Instead of taking the Trace home, I got back on ninety six and stopped at the first road to get one more photo of the bridge before heading home.
The Kitty Justice is no matter whether you are above or below a good picture can be had.

I like the first one best, I think as you approach from the Franklin side of ninety six you get the best photos. Peace

Glad you liked the view and that was exactly what I was going for when I took the photos. It is a grand experience to stand on the bridge and look off. Peace
And no matter which road you take it always leads you home.
The Natchez Trace--That's history right there. There is even a song about it. Lovely shots of a beautiful countryside and bridge. Thanks. MB

Great Great Grandfather Wilson would ride his horse, a bay mare, named "Bencfactress" down the trace to his plantation "Magnolia Mound" in MS on the Yazoo River from his home on the Murfreesboro Pike, Waveland. He was a doctor and he carried his medicine with him and would continue at a gallop unless he met someone along the way he wished to talk with . So when I go the Trace well I can sometimes feel his presences. Peace

Lady Di,

So nice to play catch up with you. Sorry you've been ill through the winter. It was quite the year.

Love these photos. So glad to visit your part of the country again. Hope you are well now.

Blessings,

It has been fun to catch up with each other. After this last round of meds, I am better and hope to stay that way for awhile. It gets old being sick. Peace
