This year

The Iris are just beginning to bloom really good. I think this year we will have more blooms than any year before.  These are my favorite flower for Spring and I just love the lace like petals and the shape is a true delight.
The Kitty Justice is my favorite is the state flower. Hows that for being a True Tennessean?

Ours aren't ready yet, and neither are the peonies. Today it is very cool and rainy, but when it warms up more, that slight rain will make everything blossom out. Beautiful iris.

While you're leaping into Spring...and we're morphing into Autumn!

For the last few days it has been cold here. I had a fire in the fireplace today in the den. So far the iris have bloomed really well but I only have little round buds on the peonies. Peace

As cold as it was here yesterday and today I would have thought we were on your side of the world. Peace

I have never planted iris(es)....I love the photos of yours, and it makes me happy to see the beauty of spring in your Tennessee.

Lady Di,

I absolutely love Iris. I had to leave all of mine at the house we owned for over 20 years. We are able to plant here, but it's going to take a long time to get my garden back to where it was. Going to be planting this spring.

Love iris' in these shades. Purples, pinks, are so lovely.

Thanks. I guess I will just have to send you some this fall. Peace

Sorry to hear all your plants were left at your house. When Mother moved she would always take a few of her favorites when she left. She had 3 twenty foot rows of different colors when she moved the last time but was in such poor health she did not move any. The Church next door bought their lot and I do not know where the Irises went. Peace
