Less than five days

I ran out in the early morning on  October 30th to capture our neighbors big Maple tree, because the 31st was gonna to be windy and rain and I feared the leaves may be blown off the trees. Boy was I wrong. Check out the photo below which was taken November 2nd.

Another 10-30-13 photo compared with the one taken 11-2-13.

The last two were also taken on the 2nd. I was mulling over today the facts that the first trees to go naked were the Walnut trees and now the Dogwood tree pictured in the last photo also stands nude today in the cold morning air.
Prince will have his job cut out for him this weekend as most of the leaves are on the ground. The tall Oaks are sporting see through apparel which is not the norm since they are the last ones to loose their leaves. I really think the wind has pulled off their leaves like my Grandma use to pull off the feathers of the chickens she would prepare for the evening meals. What surprises me most are the Hickory Trees. They are hugging their coats so close that Mr. Windy has been unable to defrock them.
The Kitty Justice is the same as the morning sky, look quick or you will miss the color.

Thanks Monica. It shows just how fast the color comes and goes. Peace
How neat to show the trees at different times. We have had great color this year. Our Copper Beech who doesn't go naked 'til Spring usually ---well she is losing her frock now. But she colored up more brilliant than usual. MB
