During my visit to Cheekwood for the Trees of Christmas, as I was walking by a window, this was the view. I must go back during the warm months so I can see the fountain in use, or at least I hope it is working.
Our forecast is cloudy and rain and maybe some snow for the next three days. On Wednesday our high will be at midnight 61 degrees and will drop all day until it gets into the twenties. I am not looking forward to that day because if Arthur is going to visit me body parts, well that is when he takes over.
I have more or less been a house bunny for the most of the days because it is not fitting weather to venture outside.
The Kitty Justice is that I have become a real House Kat and I love to sit downstairs by the fire.

Fog

I awoke this morning to no ice but the Fog would rival this photo. We could not even see the fence line it was so heavy. However, it has gradually begin to lift and we were gifted with a wonderful sight. A very healthy looking bob cat crossed the hill below the old fence line and headed to the pond. I have always heard that they only live where the environment is healthy.
Now I have a question for yawl. Have you ever spent the day in your pj's without being sick?
Since I have had another birthday, I have thought I would try things that I have never done but nothing " risky". Thus, the question. I spent the day in my pj's yesterday just to see how it felt . Might I say after lunch it began to feel rather strange, now I did by chores as usual but in pj's. My older sis, had told me last year that if she did not wish to dress, she just stayed in her pj's. I had never entertained that idea because I usually dress to fit the task of the day.
The Kitty Justice is that I have tried it and will continue to truss up my fur in the clothes that suggest what I need to accomplish.

Card

My dear friend Peaches sent out New Years Wishes on cards with one of her Angel paintings on the front of the card. I adore her work, so I proceeded to locate a frame to put her beautiful card on display. It now sits in the hallway above the tile of Angels that she painted.
I have also put a Guardian Angel on Mz Merlot's rear view mirror to help protect her from any more dents. Would you believe that dent cost 923.55? I am still awaiting a check from the woman's insurance company.
A couple of days ago, her Insurance company called and said they would be sending me a check for 867.00. I said why were they not paying me what I had to pay the repair company. It was not my fault. He back pedaled and said "you have already paid for it?" When I said I had, he then said he would send me the correct amount. It has been over a month. When I first heard from them, the guy said I hear you have a LITTLE dent. I told him very quickly that it was not little and it mess up the whole side of the door plus the door handle.
The kitty justice is not to let the Insurance companies bully you. Stand up for your rights.

How it feels to be in a bag

When my best friend was here for Christmas, I came up behind her and put her in a bag. She does not like tight places, therefore, I was lucky she did not come out swinging. But as I drop  the bag over her, I told her she was my Christmas present for the year. She laughed and said she had never been any one's Christmas present before.  She stood very still and let her mother and I take a photo  of her.
With all the hum bug in DC, I would have liked to hide in a bag and pretend we would not have to suffer 4 more years of Big Ears. He is really trying to shift people to  view other things more important than the economy. Shame on him for using the tragedy of little children to push his agenda. However, the kitty justice is most of the American public are too stupid to be aware of what he has been doing.
BTW Have yawl ever heard of playing Chicken where both vehicles are heading toward one another and they see who will turn away first, well that is what the Dims and Pugs are doing but we will be the ones hurt when they crash.

Paper whites

Two of the daughters of one of the members of the  Sewing Club (This club started before 1948 and lasted until the current members could no longer get together regularly) who is no longer with us brought these bulbs to Mimi along with a little Poinsettia plant (which we used on the table) before Christmas.
The Kitty Justice is it is a little breath of Spring with the cold weather outside.

New gun

Prince's sister got him a new gun for Christmas.
The Kitty Justice is this may be the only gun you can buy if Big Ears has his way.

I put on my boots and headed outside yesterday morning as I wanted to take photos before the ice  melted.
I took photos all around the house of bushes and trees. The net which is suppose to protect our little pine from the animals, looks like an ice ribbon.
See the deer looking at me. Maggie did not even notice them as she was too busy sniffing the yard.

The ice was heavy and bent all the trees with greenery over as low as they could go. We had been enjoying little sprigs of Hawthorne bush in our kitchen but the ice put the end to that delight.

Ice was clinging to everything in the air but Puppy said down near the grave yard on our street there was not any ice. Well, the ice is still here this morning up on the hill and I cannot see it melting any time soon.
The Kitty Justice is I did not have to rush outside early yesterday because I could have made the photos today.

Uncle Albert

This photo was taken of Great Uncle Albert in 1896, which is one of many I uncovered in his photo box downstairs. As you can see, I have learned how to scan on the new computer but have yet to master the crop and other things that were second nature on my old computer.
I have been like a mad kat adding, coping, and placing new images on Ancestry.com. It seems the more you add the more you uncover to complete. Well, that could be just me. I have had more fun playing amateur  Kitty Genealogist than should be allowed.
The Kitty Justice is for all to have such fun on The King's Burpday.
BTW I was fortunate to see Elvis three times and it was amazing each time. My girlfriend was the big fan and I could take him or leave him. Well, after seeing him in person the first time,  I went out and bought my first Elvis album (you know those big black plastic disk of old)LOL I guess you could say I was converted immediately.

Love of History

This photo was taken in 1868 of Thomas B. Wilson.
For the last few days, I have immersed myself in my Love of History to deal with my emotional pain. I have added so much data to my Family Tree that is is somewhat mind boggling.
First thing I did was work on my side of the family adding facts about Uncle Charlie and his family, the latest was Angi's details.
Then I saw lots of hints and I followed all kind of trails to gather information. I even added stories from Cousin Conn's letter  of 1981. I used the information from  the little  book "Reminiscences of Thomas B. Wilson" to add other important time lines.
I had gathered some of Uncle Albert's photos and newspaper clippings from his boxes which I am sure have not been disturbed since they were packed (Due to the amount of Dust Bunnies) and found a copy of his wedding invitation to Aunt Zue (no I did not spell this wrong) In ink it had 1899 written on it but the info on the web said it was 1900. I figure the hand written number was correct.
Santa brought me my very own computer (all others I have had  were hand me ups from Puppy and  the one I was using  had become very slow) however, my new one is fast and if you hover long you will be taken to places you did not intend to go. L0L  I told you this so you will know what I am doing in case I do not respond. Also,  I need to learn how to scan old documents and photos so Puppy has a full time job educating his Mother how to complete things which were second nature on the old machine.
Going back to family history, my SIL said "That is a lot of WORK."
The Kitty Justice is it is work I do not mind completing and someday, someone will truly appreciate my efforts.

Very Sad

This is my second cousin, Angi. She was a beautiful girl and woman. At 40 years of age, she left us in a very violent way. The man responsible was said by neighbors to not be very social but seemed to be caring and easy going. Angi was beaten and stabbed to death.  Her two daughters, ages 13 an 10, will have to grow up without a Mother. Her Mother only had two children and she was her first born and only daughter.
When Prince and I waited one and half hours in line at the Funeral home, it was a testimonial how much she and her family are loved in the small community.
As Police Chief Arnold stated "This leaves a trail of devastation and things will take years to be able to get over." Unfortunately, the Kitty Justice is some will never get over this lost.
The news is full of these kind of deeds but you really never think it will happen to your family.
I am here to say it can and it has.
RIP Angi

New Year

I was outside the Mansion when I took the photos of the grounds. Even on a December day, they still are very pretty.

Cheekwood Mansion as I was leaving after I had viewed the trees of Christmas. Be sure to click on all the photos to enlarge.
The last two photos are of the hall of Cheekwood.
The Kitty Justice is I plan to amble around the grounds, walk the halls and visit the Mansion more in 2013. I think I can keep that resolution.
