Benni's Flowers

Last Thursday with camera in hand, I walked over to the neighbors yard to see what she had in bloom. Her row of buttercups where swaying in the wind to the happy tune of Yellow. Is there a Happier color? I for one do not know of any other color that speaks happiness like Yellow. They sit above the wall and overlook the green stems of Iris. When the Iris bloom they are the first thing you see when you get to the top of the Hill. They greet you with a "Glad you are here, feeling." Her crocus are gone from the round bed but have been replaced with a few tulips. When she first planted them it was like a mini Cheekwood display but alas time and deer have taken their toll. When Puppy was 2, Prince and I planted tulips below and all the way up the driveway. I found out then that they are not satisfactory for the hill. I need something hardy and deer resist . When I put a bulb, plant, seed etc in the ground, I make them promise they will return each year as I cannot continue to DIG in this hard soil with rocks.
The Kitty Justice is I have a long list of what not to plant on the Hill.
