Another one bites the dust

Ode to an Oak

For years you stood so tall
Providing shelter from the sun
Prince said you were always there
Swaying in the gentle breeze with care
When the cold winds of winter get near
You will warm our hearth and those we hold dear.
Tomorrow your stump will be no more
And you will be just oak lore.

The Kitty Justice is we will say good night to our woody friend.

LOL Now you have done it, because that song will run around in my head all day. Peace
Aw I hate to see a lovely tree go down. Love the poem a fitting tribute. MB
It is sad to see one die like that.

Thanks MB but it was gonna come down and at least this way I had a say when and where. Peace

That is true but sadder still if it had blown down on the cabin or our power line. It had very little green wood in the trunk according to the tree man. Peace
