Heat is On

That little taste of Fall is gone and I have shut all the windows and doors and turned back on the AC. Gonna be in the nineties for the next couple of weeks. Maybe the weather will co-operate with the calendar and on 9-23 it will be nice an crisp each morning.
I truly hope all the Doves will continue to come an rest on our wires because today is the first day of Dove Season. I do not nor have I ever hunted those little creatures. When we had a Dove field, I did take a few missed shots just so I could be out in the field with the guys.
At present if you are hunting doves with our temps, you should be one big sweat ball. Too hot for most outdoor activities. I feel for the Football players.
The Kitty Justice is I will gladly be a Sissy and stay inside.

It is indeed still blazing hot here, too, Kitty J.
And, like you, I wouldn't hunt the doves. I feed ours.
I've noticed that the birds (doves, hummingbirds, etc.) aren't as abundant this week as they have been. I miss them.....

Spring has sprung here, but for now the temps here on the hill are still very pleasant...nice and cool. Not cold but cool enough to wear a jumper/sweater, even if lightweight. I intend cherishing the coolness because summer will be here all too quickly with its heat.

Take care, Miss Kitty. :)
Fall has hit here with a vengeance. Rain rain rain and much cooler temps. We need the water though so we are celebrating.

The temperature here is great here at the moment...but the heat of summer is just around the next corner or two!

The doves on the wire remind me of the doves that liked to sit on my air condition compressor under the outside window, and somehow caused a short circuit. The smoke that came out of the compressor put us on the alert. We turned off the air conditioner and called a technician who told us the damage was considerable.

I am so happy to hear from you. Yep I am sure it is much hotter where you live than TN. I guess I would have to say "I am just not that hungry to eat the birds I feed." Peace

Ah Spring with all the promises of tomorrow showing up. We are suppose to get into the seventies this coming weekend and I cannot wait for the coolness. Peace

I see the rain out east here but it has not come to the hill. Maybe we will at least get a sprinkle. Peace

Hunting should be banned. No need to hunt.
Lovely picture.

Mr. A
Hunting for sport yes but hunting for food no. Growing up hunting put meat on the table and I would rather know where the meat was killed than visit a slaughter house. Peace
