Happy Halloween

You can tell what kind of Vandy fan they happen to be by the way they wear their hats.
My BIL left his cap on his last visit and this Tennessee Vols Fan could not resist the photo opt.
For yawl to get the jest remember Tennessee colors are Orange and White and other SEC teams fans will never wear orange. LOL
The Kitty Justice is Yawl to have a Happy Halloween.

Last of the Peppers

Puppy went an harvested all the Peppers from his little garden yesterday afternoon. We
will probably freeze most of these HOWEVER, it would be nice to string the cayenne peppers.
The Kitty Justice is I wish I had watched my Grandmother and Mom string the hot peppers. I guess I will have to check Google.

Moe resting

Moe adopted me several months ago and I am thrilled to be owned by him.  He tolerates the other two legged animals but prefers yours truly. He is a really nice mannered fellow but does not like closed in places. He loves freedom to roam the hill and then return for a full course breakfast and dinner.
The Kitty Justice is to be picked and loved without any strings attached. Well maybe a good meal now and then helps. LOL

Just a Week

The photo above was last weekend and the bottom one was taken yesterday of the same tree. I took the bottom one later in the afternoon, thus the long shadows. Look how the top leaves have fallen as we had some pretty hefty wind gust of late.

Since this glorious tree is in our neighbors yard, I walked over and looked up as the sun danced on the leaves.
When the weather starts changing, this kitty gets colder quicker as my body thermometer has not gotten regulated yet.
The Kitty Justice is too bring out the socks and put the flip flops away.

Turkey feathers

As one enters our hallway, below Ms. January I have decorated the table with Turkey feathers. The flock of wild turkeys leave these nice presents around the hill so Prince can find them and bring me a treasure.
I love to decorate with these and have them throughout the house.
The Kitty Justice is have you ever known a kat who not only liked the feathers but the bird too?

I found some beautiful glass pendants and have made a chain for each one The first one I got for Shirley as a little Thank You for the ribbon yarn and getting me back into crocheting. I used the ribbon yarn she had given me to crochet a chain for the glass star pendant. The long green pendant I use some ribbon that was the color of the swirl in the glass.
I found some green yarn with silver threads woven into it and made a chain for a heart pendant I had. The green yarn is an exact color of a pair of pants I had in my closet.
The kitty justice is I am really enjoying making things with yarn and ribbon again.

After 35 years

In September I made an unplanned visit to Shirley and Leonard's place of residence as I had missed his 95th birthday and it was a belated visit. Both were happy to see me as Leonard calls it "Shirley likes to show and tell".
She showed me this beautiful shawl she had knitted for her grand daughter and I told her I did not knit but had crochet years ago. That was it she said I needed to get busy and make something. She pulled out this yarn and ribbon yard and insisted I take it and MAKE SOMETHING.
I got home and after a couple of days, I pulled out the yarn and ribbon and started a Hat. I made the pattern up  as I went along. (I should have googled patterns). By using the ribbons in the band, it is too small for this head but I know there has to be a head somewhere that this will fit.
As I was making the pom pom for the top, Puppy said he did not know I could do that and he was impressed. I love the ribbon and have searched the Internet but have not been able to locate this soft multicolored ribbon. Do any of you in blog land know where I can get said ribbon as Shirley said it was given to her and she has no idea where to locate this type of ribbon?
The REAL Kitty Justice is I should have made Pom Pom sooner if this was impressive.

The red trunk

I have gotten the front hall ready for fall with a new garland of colored leaves and some acrylic acorns. You would think with the number of leaves and nuts we have about the yard I would not have the tendency to buy any. However, these fall colors are so pretty in the hallway and go really well with the trunk. When the light comes in and shines through the leaves and it will dance off the acrylic acorns, it gives a glow of happiness to the the the front.
The Kitty Justice is to bring a little fall in the hall.

Added some height

Every time I would pass by the dining room, I kept thinking that arrangement needs some height. So before I landed flat of my back I went into Michael's and found two small bushes that were sixty per cent off. I latched onto them and brought them home for the arrangement. Wha La they were the perfect addition if I do say so myself.
Now for an update on my back, Puppy drove me to the doctor's office on Monday and I saw a doctor that is in the same group but not my regular doctor (he was on vacation in Colorado) and he said it sounded like a slipped disc. I got a shot in my right hip and some pills to take and if I am not better in four or five days, let them know. I was to continue to rest so my back would heal.
The kitty justice is there is BOREDOM GALORE while lying around resting one's back. My fuzzy mind is on the slippery slope doom and gloom so any ideas how to reboot?
