May to June

I took this photo with my long lens on May 26. I was using this lens to try and capture a few birds but then gave up.
At this time, only a path had been cut to the barn and pond .

Today when the sun was out, I took this photo showing where Prince had cut the top of the  pasture and also cut the path. Tennessee was beginning to be dry and start to brown up when it began to rain. Seems like we are living in a rain forest now as it will get hot during the day and then storm that evening. Some western counties have gotten too much such as 10 to 6 inches at once. This caused flooding . Two people were killed as they tried to cross a flooded road. One was a gentleman about my age and the other a little 6 year old boy. The man and the Mother of the little boy were going to the store. Very sad. I do not understand WHY A PERSON CANNOT WAIT UNTIL IT IS SAFE TO GO PLACES?
Over and over the weather wizards tell you not to drive into a flooded road because just 12 inches of water can float a car.
Over and over we are told NOT TO LEAVE CHILDREN ALONE IN A CAR. But our news told of a Mother of two, one only a week old doing this yesterday.
Over and over we are also told not to leave a dog in a hot car.
But it seems some people do not hear the warnings OR--------
With the stormy weather, I have had the computer unplugged so it will not become a victim of the storm. I have been trolling on my I Pad.
The kitty justice is I have had plenty of time to sing in the rain, others have just gotten WET. LOL

Both photos are beautiful.
I love to take (and see) photos of the same place at different times.
Lovely.
Is that a Martin bird house? Just curious. My Daddy has been trying to get Purple Martins to take residence at his farm for years. No luck.
So sad to read about the deaths due to the flooding. Breaks my heart...
It is warm here...with the usual afternoon and evening thunderboomers.
Love being here at your blog. I do hope that you have a good week, my friend.
Love,
Jackie

Nice pictures. In the busy world people are not ready to wait for a minute. Many things happens because of this.

I think the weather is crazy sometimes everywhere. We are having fair weather right now but rain is forecast for the weekend---of course.
Why people don't listen? Because some think the warnings don't apply to them. They are above it all but then tragedy strike and they blame someone else. Go figure.
Have a nice weekend. Love your shots--same yet different. MB

Like you, I don't understand why people do not heed the warnings but it happens a lot. What do I see in your pictures? Green for as far as you can see and since my world here in this desert is brown I think that green is mighty pretty.

Thanks. It is a Purple Martin box that Prince's father put up and as far as I know, we have never had Purple Martins. Believe it or not, the blue birds nest in the Martin box. Same to you. Peace

Welcome to Kitty Justice. Thanks and I had forgot that we have lots of people who WANT IT NOW. Unfortunately, people die and then folks are amazed WHY. Come back again. Peace

I do believe the weather has been crazy all our lives, we were just too young to notice before. LOL
Yes it is a shame that things happen that could be avoided if common sense prevailed. Thanks and Peace

Yep, I too do not understand why folks feel it will not happen to them. In the June photo, the top right side tree line, there are about a half dozen male turkeys. Glad you enjoy our green. Peace

Similar happens here when heavy rains and floods hit...some people believe themselves to indestructible and never heed the warnings. Why the warning have to be given, beats me, really...commonsense would/should take control!
