This morning on the hill. Of course, I took all these pictures from the comfort of being indoors. When I got up this morning our temp was 19 but the weathermen where saying we had a temp of 22 degrees with a wind chill factor that made it seem like 12 degrees.
It is always colder on the hill as we are 925 feet above sea level.
It was snowing so hard you cannot see very far. It has now stopped so only a dusting for us. We get another chance of snow this weekend.
When I stepped up to the back door in the kitchen with Maggie in tow, all the birds flew away from these strange apparatus which appeared. I did manage to stand there long enough to capture a red bird on the rail. We have lots of birds but they are camera shy.
The Kitty Justice is that we got enough to wet our appetite for a pretty show but we can still venture out on the road.
Warning: Most Southern cannot drive in SNOW.

looks lovely in the whiteness!!
fondly, Deena
I agree with Deena. There's nothing so pretty as a male cardinal dressed in his beautiful red suit against a backdrop of snow. Thanks so much for sharing.
I love the hills of Tennessee. I was just through them at the end of December and want to come back. They are beautiful and though I've seen them many times, I've never seen them with any snow.
Take care and be careful driving if you get more of the fluffy white stuff. I appreciate your comments on my post for today.
Blessings,
Mary
Very nice blog. this is my first visit. MB
Valentines card was lovely, thank you. And the story of Heather so wonderful, and the Purple Hats one
was beautiful too. You sur have brightened my days. I was young and romantic when I chose Valentines Day 1953 to get married. I have my four great kids from that marriage which ended in divorce after 26 years.
Take care, my friend, I hope you are enjoying a wonderful Valentines
day. Love, Merle.
So pretty. Cheers, Merle.
Thanks. Later in the day we had a flock of male cardinal with their lady loves.
Peace
Thanks. I am so glad you love our hills in Tn. Please come down anytime as the whole state is a nice experience. Mimi wanted to cancel her hair appointment but I told her "I was an old country girl and not afraid to drive." On the north side of one street was very icy but I just took my time. Otherwise the streets were clear which is a blessing for most southern.
Peace
I only took Mimi out to get her hair done and the roads were not bad at all. I did have to venture outside and fill up the bird feeder and the wind was like a knife.
Peace
Thanks for visiting and y'all come back anytime.
Peace
Little brother sends me lots of stuff and I pick and choose the ones I send on. They brighten my days when I get them too.
I am so glad you liked the card. I think JL is a wonderful site and I just love to send cards.
I love the story of Valentine wedding. Sorry it ended in D i v o r c e BUT THOSE WONDERFUL CHILDREN BLESSED THAT YOUNG AND ROMANTIC GIRL IN 1953.
