A COPY OF MY INVITATION TO THE OPENING ART SHOW.
Each first Thursday of the month a wine tasting is held and this months was called "A California Evening." We did not partake in the wine tasting but one older lady had had mine, Prince's and several others glasses of wine. It was not a pretty sight and especially on a Grandmother.
Also, besides food, wine and art, Susan Dale was signing her new cookbook "Simply Southern". I got her to sign one for Mimi. Mimi loves to read cookbooks. Prince had lived next door to Susan's sister Polly and of course they knew several other people to add to their conversation.
I wish I had taken my camera and may go back before the month is over to take pictures. Bunny had a mix of subjects and her colors are fantastic. I particularly liked the Lady in Red I and II and also Jane I and II. They had on HATS. Jock was also a very interesting painting. The Bull dog looking a perfect red high heel was delightful and the cows had sweet faces. There was scenery, musician, cooks , old ladies and old men paintings and each was done with a colorful whim of the artist.
The Kitty Justice is that I am lucky to know this talented Artist.
The opening reception was last evening from 5:30 to 7:30 at The Art Gallery Belle Meade Plantation. Prince and I arrived about the end of the reception. Food was prepared by Martha's , which is located in the same building as the gallery.

You are indeed lucky to know this talented artist. I do hope you're able to get a few photos to show. I would love to see them.
Thanks for your comments on my post. Michelle is still having problems, but they are being taken care of and she is certainly in good spirits and moving around well.
I wish you a wonderful weekend.
Blessings and love,
Mary
time at the Art Sow Opening and it's nice that you know some of the artists and the Cookbook writer.
Thanks for your visit and I am so glad that you got good results from your doctor too.Yeah for us indeed!!
The Black Tea sounds interesting, I may have to try it. I hear a lot about the benefits of Green tea too.
Thanks for the jokes etc that you send me. Take good care, my friend, Love, Merle.
I have asked Bunny if I can take pictures for the blog but have not heard back from her. If I get an okay I will head back to the gallery pronto.
Small City Scenes,
Found out afterwards that Prince had his with him. I could have used his if I had known.
Merle
It was a wonderful show. If I remember correctly the article on Black Tea indicated it is better for us with the D disease. Since Mother died from kidney complication due to the D, the doctor wishes to treat mine aggressively. He gave me a new med Diovan which I am only to take half a pill to help protect the kidneys.
Peace to all
It was a great evening and what I objected to was it was so unbecoming of a Grandma to have had that much to drink at my friends reception. I would object to ANYONE at any age who over indulged at someone reception.
Peace
