I know nothing about Bill Barnes except what you see above and that is he is a very good artist. I wanted Prince to see this exhibit but alas he works the hours the Center is open, so I just went around with camera in hand and took pictures for him. Then I thought this would be something nice to share with all who visit my blog.
J. W. (Bill)Barnes had a show in May with two other gentlemen at the Centennial Art Center. I think the one with the buildings, you have a feeling of being in a plane flying high above the city of whatever. I do not know the city but some of you may recognize it.
Today I will start the summer session of Art Class and I wonder what exhibit will be up to greet us students today. I really do not feel like we are a class but a gathering of artist with a wonderful lady, Hazel Crye-King to guide us on our journeys.
The Kitty Justice is I cannot wait to get there and see what will be hanging on the walls this month.

What a wonderful art exhibit. I had never heard of Bill Barnes either, but will be sure to look him up online. I especially like the one with the motorcycle beside the old building. And yes, the one of the city looks like a view from a plane.
Thanks for sharing this art exhibit. I enjoyed it.
Blessings,
Mary
It's a wonder you were allowed to take photos. He has a lot of variety
in his work. I am so glad for you that art class start again soon. It is lovely that you enjoy it so much.
Your fruit butter is probably like my lemon butter. It tastes nice. Take care my friend, Love, Merle.
I hope you new Summer Art class goes well. Have fun!!
I wish I had taken time to read his bio that was located by the rose painting. Leslie was sitting there and I did not wish to bother her. I google him but there are two with art backgrounds so I still do not know which one is him but one had some still lifes on the same order as these so I think that one is him.
There was a photograph show this week and one gentleman works are mainly in black and white. Which I thought gave them more character. Peace
Nick,
I hope you can locate some. I will ask Brenda who manages the center if she still has his bio or email address. Peace

Arthur has a way with bothering all of us mature people every once in a while. Glad y'all liked the art exhibit. If you look close you will see the General on the bike along with motif of the flag. Being a TRUE SOUTHERN I would say when you see the Battle Flag of the Conferates State that respect be shown as lots of honorable men fell defending it. Unfortunately, the flag has been used by Klanmen and others as a symbol of hate but a true southern will tell you there is no hate every intended by the flag. Most folks believe the war was over slavery. NOT NOT NOT It was over state rights and commerce. Less we forget, President Lincoln said he that he wanted the war to end with or without freeing the slaves. The politically correct need to let the southern display their heirtage and not demand flags be removed, staute be removed, or buildings be renamed. Nuf said I will get off my soapbox now. Peace
