Puppy believed for a long time that Santa was a four foot ten inch lady from Macon, Ga. From his first Christmas right up to the one we just celebrated, she has spoiled him with wonderful gifts and some really unusual ones .
We do not feel that Christmas has arrived until she comes through the front door loaded down with boxes. Her Mother has come with her the last few years and of course Paul with his wacky humor. He was raised in Chicago. NUF said.
After the floor under the tree is covered, we give each over a long hug and just do not let go. Paul and Prince usual head for the downstairs to sit by the fire and watch football. Linda's Mom usually has her first cup of coffee.
Linda jumps right in and helps me put the meager food offering on the table for lunch. Mimi and Linda's Mom have a mini social as we get the food ready.
After the lunch has been consumed Paul states in his flat humor "Shall we open presents or drink whiskey." Of course we chose the presents and off to the living room. Puppy and Linda hand out the presents. As they are still delivering presents, Paul start with the northern humor again and starts counting the presents that each of us get.
After all the beautiful wrappings lay in shreds on the floor and the oohs and aahs are over, Puppy picks up the paper and is very careful to save the bows. We exchange bows yearly.
When they pack up their treasures to leave, Linda and I again hug each other and after they pry us apart we wave good bye to the Macon Santa as her reindeer Paul pulls her down the drive.
The Kitty Justice is that Christmas has truly began.

Linda's visit always starts the season for us. I did not take photos but others did so I am awaiting the arrival of them to post. I was too busy meeting and greeting. Same to you about 2009. Peace
As for the Eagles---they winder down in the valley on the Skagit and Stilly rivers. Samish River too, and Padilla Bay. I guess all around here. Anywhere there is water. They leave, except for the resident ones, and head back to the tundra in March or so. MB
