Another Mess

After the video you come out the green door partly shown above.

Everyone gets on the bus and the driver goes down a hill and turns right to go up a hill. At the bottom of the hill was a traffic jam, another car and some tourist on foot.

The first thing done is the driver lines everyone up and takes our photo. This photo goes on the official JD website and you can down load it for FREE. When he takes your photo, you say whiskey not cheese. Can you find me, I am the most colorful one. Bette the little lady on the front right in jeans and shirt is our tour guide .

The rickyard is where the charcoal is made and they use ten feet of charcoal to filter the whiskey and it is used only once and then sold for barbecues and other uses.

As we were walking away from the rickyard, I looked up and saw this high atop a tank.

This is our second stop in the tour in front of the two old fire engines under a shed. These are on the right coming down the hill.

As you come down a shaded path from the fire engines, the first thing you see is another statue of Jack. It is in front of the spring. This spring water is what is used to make the wonderful brew.

This is the path leading from the statue to the spring. We were told that they have gone back a whole mile and the cave continues farther. I would have like to have scooped up a handful of the water to drink.

The group in front of the statue with the roses near the iron fence and steps that lead to the old office of JD. This building and the visitor center are the only buildings you are allowed to take photos while inside.The next three photos are close up of the roses.

Our guide, Bette was very knowledgeable and really entertaining in her descriptions. This is a walking tour and you need comfortable shoes as you will be going up and down hills and lots and lots of stairs. Tomorrow we will go inside the old office of JD. Then the rest of the buildings I will have photos only of the outsides. The Kitty Justice is we have just begun the tour.
