Another Mess

When you enter the double doors of the Center, you are greeted by this statue. I am sorry I did not get a photo of the plague. The statue is under a skylight which makes it more impressive with the light playing around.

To the right of the statue is the visitor desk, Art and Char hugged and greeted the little lady behind the desk . Art referred to her as "Dynamite."

Here you get the number of your tour and when the number is called, you go see the video and start your tour.

This is a display to the left of the visitor desk and behind the statue on the back wall. It is a really large room with benches to sit and lots of photos and displays to read.

This is also on the back wall, more to the left and closer to the video room.

This the first display on the front wall on the left of the statue.

This is a close up of the quilt. My Mother referred to this pattern as stain glass and she was in the middle of making one before her death. My Aunt Hazel also made these and was gonna teach me when I discovered she knew how, but again time ran out and now she is gone too. Maybe I should just make a wall hanging out of the rows that Mother had finished.

After the tour and lunch, we went back to the Center because Art and Prince are Squires and Prince wanted to see that room. However, there are no photos of the Squire room. It is located in a hall behind the visitor center desk. This however, is the ceiling of a meeting room down the hall to the right of the Squire room. Art advised that the top 12 countries in sales had their flag displayed around our flag.

There were two lines of meeting tables and a nice bar at the back.

For fear of not being correct, I will not name the gentleman in black even though I think I remember his name, however, he and Kathy (no photo of her) did give lots of information about the Squires room. The lady with an arm around Art is Dynamite who was in a previous photo. Everyone smiles without even taking a sip because JD is a fun place to work. Tomorrow, we will go outside and start the tour. Just a few facts, behind the visitors desk on the wall to the right of the hallway are 3 photos of gentlemen who work for JD. The first photo is of Roger Breshears and we got to meet him in person at Miss Bobos restaurant.

Also, if you happen to be a Squire and you go into visit the Squires room. You show your Squires card and sign in and they give you a gift. Prince and Art got a really nice coffee mug and shot glass (photos in a much later post because I have not taken the photos yet) SILLY ME
