Yesterday, I was minding my own knitting when Mimi called and told me a pig had come to visit. With camera in hand I made a bee line to her bedroom. There the pig was right above the cherry trees and right beside my berry patches. He was busy filling his stomach but I knew if I went out on the porch he would run away. Therefore, I took these shots through the glass doors in Mimi's room. Windows are not too dirty and the photos turned out better than I expected.
I like to give the wildlife names so I think I will cristen him, Walter.
The kitty justice is to locate Walter next February 2ND to get his weather predictions.

What IS up with all of the ground hogs? I have seen two during the past summer and those were the first two sightings that I have ever had of the wild creature in my entire life! And someone else posted a photo of a ground hog on their blog recently. What? Are we going to have another 6 weeks of summer? LOL!

Hello Dianne ~~ Great photos, but I hope he doesn't find your veggie garden or hurt your dogs.
Thanks again for the Anger Management
It was quite popular and even the sheep one went down okay. It was funny how they loaded themselves on the truck and honked the horn.
It was sad about Sam, but she is out of pain now. Apparently the disease Chlamydia is threatening to wipe out the koalas in Australia
It is always great to see family.
Take care, my friend, Love, Merle.

Lady Di,

When I was young, we had hundreds of groundhogs around here, but I seldom see them anymore. Nice shots. This guy seems to be healthy and enjoying your hospitality.

Have a great day.
Blessings,
Mary

I am glad to widen your world on pigs. Peace

I think the coyote which were not prevail in my youth around south have taken over the pigs as a food supply therefore, we do not see as many as in my youth. This is the first one around here and he has free rain of the grass and I think he feels safe close to the houses. Peace
Oh my gosh, look at his teeth. Did you know we don't have actual groundhogs out here but we do have a similar looking animal called a mountain beaver---it is not a beaver at all--so there ya go. MB
