First of all congratulation to all our young American who are making us proud with their efforts at the Olympic Winter games in Vancouver.
This morning I heard one of the news commentators trying to get this young athlete to put a spin on his COLOR. Shani's reply was "at the end of the day I am an American."
He did not use the term African American but AMERICAN.
The kitty justice is to teach the rest of the world what this young man already knows.
Embrace the term American without using any adjectives.

Good for him! He was outstanding!

I'm loving the Olympics. An Aussie lass won a Gold in aerials today. We've won 2 Gold and 1 Silver now, which is the best we've ever done at the Games.

I wish the whole world would view life through his eyes.....what about the L. Vonn and J. Mancuso rift? I'm sure she didn't fall on purpose.....

I try to watch as much as I can because it only comes around every few years and lots of training and sacrifice have gone into making the effort to compete. Peace

It would be a better world for sure. I think the media have dubbed Vonn the darling on skis and Mancuso is really the better athelete. I loved JM response on her facebook page "leave the drama for your mama". I think the media should step back and look at themselves and then maybe they would treat all the athelete in the same light. Peace

Your sentiments are the same as mine re the Olympics, Lady Di. That's what I say to myself all the time and why I'm such a diligent follower. I'm the same with the Summer Olympics.

The competitors have put so much of their being into their respective fields and I feel an obligation (a willing obligation) to watch and support them.
