This is one of the fifty cards that I came across the other day. The cards have the painting of a bird on the front and on the back it list a description, classification, scientific name and range. The title card states "50 Winter Birds of the Northeastern United States from color drawings by Allan Brooks, published by the National Association of Audubon Societies, 1974 Broadway, New York City. Sold in sets Price $1.00."
I have truly enjoyed both the paintings and the information on the back of each card.
The kitty justice is that you can learn a lot from a dollar set of cards.

That would be an interesting set of cards for a child to learn about birds. I have some playing cards, small, one is a deck of Garden Birds, one is a deck of Wild Animals, but it doesn't say anything except the name of the bird or animal. And the Grandkids were not impressed. LOL Looks like rain this morning. But at least it's warm enough it won't be snow or freeze. Sorry haven't been around lately, it seems I have time to check out Facebook and that's about it. I try to post several weeks ahead on my blog, take one day and do that. LOL I'm just getting lazy. Have a great day.

You might take a shot at the address listed and see if they still sale these cards. I refuse to do Facebook or Twitter for lots of reason but mainly, the time I have on the computer is put to blogging and reading those I follow and doing email and sending cards. I just love e cards. I use to mail lots of cards and now I just ship them by email if the person has an address that I know. My BFF said I was the only person she knew that sent cards for every occasion. I think it is a great way to stay in contact with people I care about. Peace
Always good to learn something.
I like your new header. B
