I was standing in his driveway and the flower bed is eye level. He said these are Calla lilies. I thought the speckled foliage enchanted their beauty.

I am back now sorry I have not posted or commented for awhile. MB
In this part of the country, the bulbs have to be taken up in the fall and planted in the spring. The bulbs can't take the frost. They turn to mush.
