WE ARE WELL INTO THE FIRST WEEK OF OCTOBER

The last two years in late September and early October our pretty birds stop one or two at a time for a snack on the way back to where they winter. We saw 2 males today. It is raining here and will not clear up until Friday.

The above 3 photos are three of the 45 plants I need to trim back . wash the pots, and bring inside for the winter. I hope to get started this weekend. I gave them a good spray for bugs this week but it will now have to be repeated since it has rained. 

The left brace leaned to the left and the 350 lb. bell sat down on the wooden top. Nothing was hurt on the bell but the boys have now put in sturdier bolts and now it is back up so we can ring in the new year. Again it seems as if we have worked worked worked and then did more work this year. 

 This is Mz Arna and her daughter LPC or as she is called The Pope. LPC has come up from Georgia to celebrate her mothers 96 birthday. I plan to go help them celebrate. Mz Arna has not been well and she had to go to the hospital for 3 days and now she is in Rehab. Please add her to your prayers that she will be able to go back home. She is amazing as she lives by herself and still smokes. Her son lives in the same small town and he checks on her 2 or 3 times a day. Unfortunately for LPC she lives six hours away. 

I feel Blessed  that Prince and I can still get around better than most but not as good as others. Lots of friends are gone and lots who are not are not in as good of health as we. Seems as if I just keep adding names to my prayer list. I think that is the Kitty Justice of getting older.

BTW We are blessed with new neighbors who bought the rock house here on the hill. It is a young couple with two darling little girls. The other day when we were coming home from an errand. Prince stopped and said listen. I heard the musical sounds of the children laughing. Prince stated it was a good sound to hear children laughter again on the hill.
