Bear Mountain 6x12 Gallery canvas.
Soap Factory without the buildings in the background. 12x 16
I am still painting different scenes from Sitka, Alaska from the photo that Marcel at Sitka Daily Photo has been kind enough to share.
The large 12x36 canvas, I am still working on. I sit my paintings on an easel that I can see while I am at the computer. I use to leave them in the dining room but find they are less apt to get jostled if left here in the library.
The Sleeping canvas, I forgot my photos to paint from one day so I thought why not do something different. No one would think Kitty painted this one. I am thinking about painting a blue parrot over it as it is really not something I would keep. Of course it could be sold. LOL
Usually we have a show in December at the Art Center so I am debating what to hang. We are allowed two paintings each to be submitted. I know I will put one of the Sitka paintings in the show but should I keep Sleeping and show her?
First of all the canvas Sleeping is on is an odd size, so I would have to order the frame and build it or pay an enormous amount to have it done at any of the local frame shops. The last frame I had done at a local shop cost $150.00 plus tax. Most galleries are now taking 50 percent of the asking price.
The Kitty Justice is that the worker, craftsman, artist, farmer, or etc. get very little for their effort. Something is VERY WRONG with this picture. NUF SAID!!!!

I love the paintings and glad that you showed some of yours. Love Bear Mountain and the Sitka Soap Factory. You've done a great job and the large one, the one that is still a work in progress, is wonderful as well. Sleeping is not my type of art, but well done just the same. It's up to you weather to keep her, but the framing seems very expensive.
Thanks so much for showing us your beautiful artistic talents. I certainly enjoyed my visit and Marcel was very generous in allowing you to use his photos.
Blessings for a wonderful day.

Love your painting's, so pleased to see some of them.my favorite is the Sitka soap factory.Framing can be very expensive, I did a few taperstries and my hubby said make sure you put a good frame on it after all the many hrs work.
to you my sweet friend
Many hugs,
Deena

Thanks. Everyone that see it likes it and several have said it has an oriental feel.

Thanks. Yes framing is expensive so that is why I have tried to learn to make my own with the help of my friend Rick (Post of him and his son on their bikes done earlier). You have to get quality at the best price. Then to exhibit your art, most galleries are now asking fifty per cent to show. With those two items in mind the artist has to put a fairly large price on the artwork to make any profit.

Thank you for your comments and I too love Mark Twain, who had a lot to say but most are great.
I hope someone has not been too unkind to you as it's upsetting. Congrats on not taking it further, just let it go. Those of us who know you, love you, so ignore one unkind person. Take care, dear friend, Love, Merle.
Thanks. I enjoy the painting those snow scenes especially on a TN hot summer day. Peace
Merle
Sometime my Duck Suit loose a few feathers and I let some words that are unkind get to me. I say it is a duck suit because unkind words or actions should run off you into the gutters where they belong. Mother was a very wise woman and taught me well because in the end "WILL IT REALLY MATTER?" NUF SAID Thanks for your comments on the paintings. It is gonna be 93 degrees here today but will be very hot because we will have Air you can wear today HUMIDITY. I AM VERY THANKFUL TODAY TO THE MAN WHO INVENTED AIR CONDITIONING. PEACE
