The Hickory tree has been cut up and hauled around back to split.
Puppy preparing for the first of many to split.
These were photos that I tried to load and they were side ways. Now on the file they are right side up. As you can see I tried twice and then just could not figure how to delete them from the post so I just had to shrink them. The photo showed the beginning of the split.
SUCCESS.
Now to move this one and start another.
Finished. Log splitter is old but still doing time.
The kitty justice is to sit by the fire and get warm.
MB Both guys worked up a sweat from that afternoon of wood cutting. I do not know how the photo got sideways. I uploaded it from the file where the others were and on the file it was right side up. Maybe my knowledge of uploading photos needs to be enhanced. Peace
Changes It was a toasty place to sit while it has been so cold outside. Unseasonably cold and for over a week now. That snow we are to get tonight will definately accumulate and stick because it is too cold for it to melt. Dust off the snow sleds. Peace
The photos of Puppy splitting wood brought back memories of childhood. When I was very young, my job was to fill the woodbox. Later, as a teen, I was expected to take a turn chopping wood.
Enjoyed the photos and what a lovely fire that wood makes. Stay warm, my friend.
Mary Glad to bring back a few old memories for you. I have been hanging around the fireplace daily to keep warm. It was 12 degrees on the hill again this morning Saturday 1-9. Peace
