He was born ed July 18, 1838 at Waveland sometimes referred to as Cottage Home.
His Grandfather William and his Great Uncles belonged to Sumpter's Command in the Revolutionary War.
In 1904 as a Christmas present to his middle son, Owen, he wrote a book "Reminiscences of Thomas B. Wilson". The original hand written copy was donated to the University of North Carolina (Confederate Section)
In 1939 George H. Armistead, Jr. had 500 copies made in a soft bound cover.
In 1953, Uncle Owen gave Prince a copy which Uncle Owen inscribed.
The Kitty Justice is that we would have lost lots of the family history if Great Grandfather Capt Thomas B. had not written the book.
Ah, if only other families members had been more diligent.

their families. It would be wonderful
if they did. And the younger ones should ask lots of questions of them, before it is too late.
Thank you for your kind words on my
Random facts. I don't feel the adopted kids were so lucky, I think
that my husband and I were the lucky ones. Would you like to do the Random
facts? Take care, Love, Merle.
I am so glad Uncle Owen asked for the Christmas present. I know what you mean about not writing down the stories as my side of the family just exist and never thinks to put anything in print.

I wish I had written all my Mother's Father stories down. He was my first love. My little brother has alot of his story telling ability. Maybe I need to give him a tape recorder and then I could put them in print. He is like our friend Lee, can remember all the details years later.
If you wish for me to do the facts just let me know and I will try to think of 8 things.
